"Come in. Come in." He said after getting over the shocked look on his face.

As I walked into the house I realized the inside looked just as perfect as the outside.

He guided us towards the living room which was painted a dark red with a few family photos scattered on them. Looking up I noticed he had one of him, mom, and I hanging. I stare at it for a little while before turning my head away.

I know I should be glad he has a picture of us in his house but it actually does the complete opposite. He lost all rights to care about our family when he had destroyed it right in front of our faces. Sitting down on the brown U-shaped couch I lean further into Alec.

"Do you guys want anything to drink?" My father asks which immediately receives a no from both of us. I watch as he takes a seat across from us.

"Sorry for showing up unannounced I'm sure you were busy today." I say.

Shaking his head he gives me a small smile. "Never too busy for you pumpkin and it wasn't unannounced. Your mother called me this morning told me you'd be stopping by and I was in my office when you rang the doorbell that's why it took so long to come down."

"Okay. Well mom said I should come and see you so here I am." I shrugged. I hear him chuckle and lean back into his chair.

"When do you ever listen to your mom when she says to come see me pumpkin?" I know he didn't mean it in a sarcastic or backhanded way but that comment irritated me.

Giving off a blank stare I say, "Well if you were in my position would you even want to come and see you?" And that had the room silent for a few before Alec cleared his throat.

"Sorry sir I don't think I introduced myself. I'm Alec Carlson, a friend of Skyler's." He says sticking his hand out towards my father. My father took his hand and gave it a firm shake.

"It's nice to meet you Alec. You seem to have a reputation for being a ladies man." My father says and that makes Alec sit up straighter. Noticing this my father gives him a reassuring smile. "I didn't mean any offense by that. I never listened to to the rumors passing around that town because they never get the story right."

"They got it right with you though. Didn't they?" I mumble under my breath but not so quietly because it makes my fathers eyes dart to me.

As he begins to say something the doorbell rings. He then excuses himself to go get it.

Once he's gone I feel a pinch on my thigh. "Ow, what was that for?" I whisper yell at Alec.

"That's for being a hardass. You came here to talk to him, maybe get some closure and all you've managed to do is make sarcastic remarks."

"Okay fine. I'll try and be nicer." I say before I hear the giggling of two children. Turning around I notice Sierra, Simon, and Alana walk in.

"Hey Sky. I didn't mean to interrupt you guys." Alana says.

Instead of responding I decide to ignore her. I wasn't in the mood to pretend to be happy to see her. I turn my head towards my father. "Can we finish talking? I'm not here to take up too much of your time."

"Why don't we go to my office?" He asks and I nod turning to Alec.

"I'm going to stay down here. Good luck." He whispers in my ear before kissing my forehead. I sigh then follow my father down the hall.

Once we got into his office he closed the door and we sat on the small couch he had near his desk.

"So what's going on pumpkin?" I take a deep breath and I look around the room. This wasn't much different then the office he had back at home.
