After I left Linda's house I went back home, leaving the file with it's rightful owner. I explained to Dina what happened and when I was finished she was just as pissed as I was.

Like I said, Alec was a lot of things but a murderer, definitely wasn't one of them.

Serena was a sick human being. I don't know what happened between them that made her come to me but I didn't care either. She had no right to make him feel bad for something that wasn't his fault. He was a child and I know it must've been hard for him especially knowing he was in the car with his father.

He had to watch his father die and no child deserved that.

The rest of the week after that went by fast. Still no one knew about Alec and I and although I was suspicious, I was thankful. I was still crying and heartbroken but the task of learning the lyrics and practicing with the band after school kept me busy.

Soon Friday came and I was getting ready for the show tonight. We were performing at the pub again and I was happy to be going back there. "I'm still upset you don't want us there." I heard a voice say from my doorway. I turn and look at both my parents standing there.

"I told you guys it's going to be a bunch of teenagers there. Besides, you guys have work stuff tonight." I say lacing up my sneakers.

About two days ago my dad asked me to babysit the twins after school so he brought them over and happened to catch me practicing with the band. When he found out I was performing he told my mom and they started begging me to come but I asked them not to. However, thank the gods that mom got called in tonight and dad had a meeting with his law firm. They told me they'd change their plans to come but I told them not to worry.

I knew my parents would love to see me perform in front of an audience again but I knew they wouldn't have fun with a bunch of drunk teenagers pushing each other. Besides I planned to drink a little and I didn't need my drunk alter ego saying something that I couldn't take back or remember in the morning.

"I know sweet pea but you're older now. You haven't performed on stage in years." My dad says and my mom nods in agreement with a sad face.

I resist the urge in telling them this wasn't the first time I have perform with the band and say, "I know but they'll be other times right? How about we plan a showcase in the house?" I say.

"Pinkie promise?" He says sticking his pinkie out and I laugh.

I stick my pinkie out towards him and my mom latches her pinkie on top of ours, just like old times. "Pinkie promise. Now you need to get to the dinner and mom you need to get to the hospital. Dina should be here in a few." I say when Marco makes an appearance.

"You ready?" He says and I nod.

"Alright," My dad says looking at his watch "I'm out of here. God, I hate these dinners." He says and my mom laughs at him before saying, "Yeah we know." He gave her a smile before walking to me and giving me a kiss on the head then walked back to my mom and did the same. "Be safe tonight. Both of you." He says both and then he heads out.

"I should get going too. Are you going to be okay?" I nod. "Alright. Take care of my daughter Marco. I'll see you two in the morning." She says before heading out.

"Is it weird to watch them interact after all these years?" Marco asks.

"Extremely." I say taking one last look at myself in the mirror.

I wasn't dressed up much. I had on a pair of mom jeans and a black fitted crop top. I didn't put on any makeup but decided to put on a pair of lashes and some lipgloss. My hair was down and to finish my look off I had on my white chunky sneakers. I looked comfortable but cute.
