My good mood had managed to keep going until Monday morning.
I woke up early enough to stop by our local coffee shop and get my favorite drink. Which was a large hot chai latte with just a sprinkle of cinnamon. It was delicious.
Thanksgiving was next weekend and the weather was starting to get cold. I decided to sit in my car for a little while deciding that I was going to head to the library school to pick up a new book since I had time.
I felt grounded but all that went down the drain once I walked to my locker.
Kayla for some unknown reason decided to have her body pressed up against my locker again.
Not today Satan. I mentally said as I approached her.
"Kayla, I get that you sometimes have trouble with directions but this," I say motioning to my locker, "isn't your locker. So please remove yourself." I day before adding a fake smile.
I was in a good mood today and I wasn't going to let her ruin it. I was going to kill her with kindness first but if that didn't work then I was just going to kill her.
"I just want to talk to you. You didn't even let me explain what happened that night." Choosing to ignore her. I give her one last smile again.
"Kayla, sweetheart, I'm asking you nicely to move off my locker. I don't want to talk and I don't want you to explain because I don't care. I just want to get my books from my locker that you're preventing me from getting." She rolls her eyes and at this point a million ways to kill her are going through my head.
Although my dad wasn't my favorite person anymore he was still a lawyer. The best lawyer in town actually so she was honestly pushing her luck.
"Well I don't care if you don't want to talk but you're going to listen." She says stomping her foot. "I'm sorry about what happened at the party but get over it." Strike one. "I'm tired of you ignoring me just because you're being a big baby." Strike two. "I slept with him. We formed a bond over the months we were together but I didn't know that was going to happen at the party. Honestly, I was just as shocked as you were and I was drunk. Now I won't say you owe me an apology but you and Dina have been treating me really badly which is understandable but get over it." She huffs and that was strike three.
Game over bitch.
I give her another smile smile but this one was different.
This smile was more of a you-have-two-seconds-to-run-before-I-kill-you smile but she's so stupid and dense she didn't take the hint.
Instead she's smiling back at me as if we're friends again, as if I've forgiven her, as if Im actually going to fucking apologize.
I lowly laugh and take a step towards her and this seemed to be when she got the hint because she takes a step back and although she's a solid 5'7 while I'm only 5'3 I feel as though I towering over her.
"Okay I listened to your bullshit and I listened to you play the victim but now you're going to listen to me." I say taking a step forward with each word I spoke. "I asked you to get off my locker nicely and I asked you to leave me alone nicely but you just don't listen. I don't care what you guys had or what you guys share. I couldn't care less but what I do care about is the fact you won't leave me alone. You made your bed Kayla now lay in it and the next time you ever feel the need to talk to me, I'm going to take your hands and stick it so far down your throat you'll be shitting fingers for weeks. Got it?" I said and she took off.
I was pissed. So pissed that even after she left I was still glaring at the spot she was in.
"Woah. Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning?" Dina said touching my shoulder.
