Beautiful Disaster

Ch.20

After throwing on the sweatshirt, changing into some leggings and throwing on my boots. We were on our way.

"So will there be a lot of people?" I ask.

"Probably but I'll make sure to keep my eye on you. No drinking tonight for you missy." He says and I roll my eyes.

"Okay dad." I say and he laughs.

As we drive in silence I take time to admire his face. He was a pretty good looking person and I loved kissing him, which was a bad sign. But I also couldn't help but wonder if it would be so bad if we I did like him? I mean a school girl crush wouldn't hurt.

Turning to the window before he caught me staring I try to rid those thoughts out my head.

I needed to get a grip on myself. A schoolgirl crush would definitely hurt me especially if he didn't feel the same and decided to leave my life. That thought alone made me frown.

This is why I wanted space from him. He was getting too close to me too fast and I didn't like it.

When we got to the pub I noticed how close it was to the University. From the outside it looked nice and the inside was no different.

I feel hands intertwine with mine and I look up at him. "Enjoy yourself tonight okay. I saw you frowning in the car so whatever is going on in that pretty little head of yours, leave it for tomorrow." He says and I give him a smile.

"Okay."  I say and he flashes me a smile before pulling me through the pub.

I notice the colorful lights hung above the stage and the instruments that were on the stage in the front. The place was packed and I started feeling myself become uneasy. I was sure Alec sensed my anxiety because I felt him give my hand a little squeeze along with a reassuring smile. I send him a small grateful nod his way and take a deep breathe.

As we made our way through Alec said a few hi's and hello's then we spotted Dina at a table and took the empty one right next to hers.

"Hey fine thing." I say making my voice sound more manly and getting really close to her.

"You've got 2 seconds to back away or I'm going to kick your ass." She says before turning around and seeing it was me. "Skyler!" She says jumping in my arms. "What are you doing here? With..Alec?" She says raising a eyebrow at me.

"We came to support Marco. I want to see these singing talents he seems to always speak so highly of." I shrug.

"Mhm? Is that so? What's really the truth?" She says crossing her arms.

"He dragged us out of bed and I had no choice." I see her laugh before she gives me a head shake then winks at Alec as she mouths a quick thank you.

Rolling my eyes, I glance around the pub before I heard the speaker introduce the band. The first person I see walk out on the stage is Marco with his guitars strung across his chest.

"How is everyone doing tonight?" His voice says ringing through the microphone receiving a energetic response from the crowd. "Now usually we always get into the upbeat songs but tonight I will be starting off with a love song since I see so many couples here tonight. I hope you guys enjoy." He says before nodding his head towards his other group members and positioning his guitar in his hand.
