I got ready for the party. I wasn't sure what kind of party it was, so I just put on jeans and a tank top, as usual. Mali texted me and said she'd be stopping over any minute.
The doorbell rang, indicating Mali was here. I opened up the door and Calum was standing right next to her, pacing, in a weird way. "Ready?" She asked me with an eager smile on her face. I nodded my head. Once again I was nervous, nervous about Calum being here, what kind of party this would be, who would be there...
We walked four blocks over to loud music. I'm surprised I didn't hear it playing at my house. We walked into the house with Calum walking in behind me. It was crowded. Body to body.
I could feel Calum's body colliding with mine every few seconds. "Mali, take care of her." I heard Calum say, or it sounded like Calum? Mali linked her arm with mine and we walked through the people, straight to the booze. There were different bottles lined up and a big punch bowl in the middle. I grabbed a cup and poured some juice in it and then the vodka.
I don't remember much of that night besides losing Mali somehow and stumbling into the living room and collapsing on the couch. I tried to sit up. I saw Calum on the other side watching me, with a glare. It was a different kind of glare though. He said something to his friends and grabbed me.
He put my arm over his shoulder and tried to get me to walk as straight as possible. I tried to walk as best as I could but it wouldn't do. Calum swooped me up and carried me somewhere. I couldn't tell where. I was barely alive, I was wasted. Calum set me to stand on my feet, and he opened a door from how it sounded.
He swooped me up again and plopped me down on some huge cushion. That's all I remember.
