Hazel

Today was my first day of school in Australia.  I moved from America because my parents wanted to start a bakery.  It's one of their biggest dreams. 

I walked up to the main office with my mom because she had to meet the principal and sign some papers and other documents. 

I woman introduced herself as Ms. Rhonda.  She gave me a tour based off of my schedule and then led me to my first class.   She knocked on the door a few times and entered with me following.

"Good morning everyone, I'd like to introduce you to our new student Hazel. She moved here from America..." Rhonda continued. The teacher Mr. Harris had an open seat for her right next to a boy who's name I think was Calum?

The kid glared at me rudely. That's kinda assholeish.  I turned and focused on the board and teacher with a notebook until class ended. 

I got up and went to second period. I walked into 2nd period and had to re introduce myself all over again. It was like that all day until the end of the day.  I've also made a mental note that this Calum kid doesn't like me at all. He kept glaring at me all day. 

I walked back into my house.  It was empty.  My parents had a staff meeting before the opening of their bakery.   I went into the cabinet to grab a snack and continued my homework.

Jason, my boyfriend came to Australia with us to help us with the move. He also went with my parents to their meeting to help them out while I was at school. I texted his phone to get him to come see me. Stupid stupid stupid....

We went to get pizza downtown. "How was the meeting with my parents? How did that go?" I asked before taking a bite of my pizza. I noticed that Calum kid was also there too.

"It went very well. The way things are, they're opening up shop tomorrow." We sat and ate our food until it was time to go.

We went back home and with my parents still out, we slept in my room. Regular sleep. Just sleep.
