Calum.

Calum never told me about his parents leaving, only really about how his dad would fight with him.  Calum doesn't seem to be the vulnerable type either.  "What are you thinking?" Me and Luke turned off of the sidewalk towards a nice beach with maybe a dozen or so piers.

"I think Calum is disappointed or upset with me..." Luke and I slowed down our pace and sat on the end of the pier. "That whole thing with Kyle...it had Calum upset I guess." I laid out on the pier as did Luke. Luke still didn't say anything.

"But like the thing I don't understand is why is Calum like this? He has a girlfriend and he's happy now..." I had a boyfriend, and I was kinda happy. But things don't last forever.

"I think he was his happiest when you two almost became a thing honestly. I mean yeah he's happy now, but he was happier before." Luke admitted. "I miss him a lot honestly...but I think we made some sorta progress..." the sunset was really beautiful looking, nice deep orange, red and yellow. "I um...told him about Kyle. Since you'll probably hear from him anyways, Kyle hit me, and I-"

Luke immediately sat right up. "He hit you?" I sat up to face Luke, who now was somewhere between mad and shocked, maybe upset. "Hazel what happened? I knew something wasn't right! I could feel it, I can't believe I left you alone with that-" I grabbed Luke's hands and held them so he'd calm down.

"It's okay now, really it is." I looked luke in the eyes. "...after you left, he freaked out and then he...did what he did..." Luke looked away from me like he was frustrated or disbelieving of me. "I'm not going back to him okay? I promise. I talked to Calum about it earlier." I already hurt Calum and disappointed him, I couldn't do that to Luke either.

"What do you mean you talked to Calum about it earlier? Calum's okay with all this?" Luke took his eyes off the sunset and looked back at me. "Uhh about that, that's why I think Calum is upset maybe? I don't know...I kinda walked in on Calum...but don't tell him I told you that." Luke looked back at me confused.

"How was Calum when you two talked? What kind of upset was he?" Luke took care of Calum. Luke was his best friend and he was Luke's best friend. Those two could literally last lifetimes. "He kinda sounded like how you did." I let out a sigh and shrugged my shoulders.

"I'm not upset I'm just...worried about you."  Luke was worried about me. Why? "Aside from the whole Kyle thing, I don't know, you just don't seem happy. At least since you and Calum stopped talking."  Luke was very observant. More than I ever noticed.  "...I have been." My eyes started to fill up with tears, I missed Calum more than I thought.  "You're right okay? I miss Calum."

I completely broke down and like pulled me into a hug.
