"LET'S GO!" I groaned as Roman jumped onto my bed practically sending me flying off. I hit my head on the headboard and winced in pain. "Let's go! Let's go! Let's..." I kicked my foot out catching his and knocking him on his ass. He fell off the bed with a thud and I frowned looking over at him.
"Next time, don't jump on me." He crossed his arms and started to pout.
"I wanna go. SO WAKE UP!"
"Princy..." His face went white as he spun around to see Virgil peeking his head out of his blanket. His eyes were pitch black and I could see the fear in his eyes. "What did I say about waking me up?"
"Go easy on him, Virge. He's only 3." We both started laughing as Roman started whining about how old he really was. I found myself smiling before I even realized it. It's been so long since I got to see this side of Roman. He's been so mean for so long. I'd forgotten how childish he could be. I watched as he fell to the floor and started to throw a tantrum like... well, like a 3-year-old.
"I wanna go. I wanna go. I'm bored! Caz, let's go!" I shook my head in disbelief and just smiled. I jumped up and stretched feeling the loose silk pajama's rub against the wraps I always wear. I have to make sure the scales are covered after all. Roman stopped and looked up at me with a frown and I let my arms drop hiding the wraps beneath the sleeves. "Caz..."
"So where exactly do you want to go? Or are you just saying you want to leave?" I asked as I grabbed my clothes and headed towards the bathroom.
"Uh, well... there's this... thing I saw." I laughed as I closed the bathroom door and set all my stuff on the sink. "Apparently, they have a theater here and there showing Beauty and the Beast."
"You mean Stockholm Syndrome the musical." Virgil's sleepy voice came through the door and I laughed imagining the face Roman must have been making.
"No... No, I did not." I started to unbutton the sleep shirt when there was a knock on the door. I frowned and opened it a smidge to see Roman standing there with this look of worry on his face. "Caz..." His eyes went wide and I pulled the shirt close as he just stood there. He looked away and started the scratch the back of his neck as he held out my mask. The one I wear when I'm not sleeping. I narrowed my eyes and took it from him, slamming the door in his face. "YOU'RE WELLCOME!"
"Thank... you." I mumbled under my breath as I finished taking my shirt off. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and sighed. My arm were all wrapped up and my stomach was too. I always wrap them when I go to sleep. Don't worry about me. My father made them specifically for me to use like this. Same with the sleep mask. It covered both eyes as well as my scales so it kind of looked like a villain mask. It does its job so... what's it matter how it works. I sighed slowly taking them off. "So... So Roman!"
"Yeah!" I smiled hearing his voice come through the door again as started to put on my outfit for the day.
"You really want to go into the city just to watch a play." I turned on the sink and watched the hot water begin to steam up the mirror.
"No... But it's the main thing."
"Theater Geek!" Virgil yelled and I burst out laughing.
"What of it?! Caz knows how much I love Disney. We used to stay up and..." Romans voice cut out and I looked over at the door frowning. He never spoke of how we were actually friends before. "Forget it." Why did I think it would change now? Why is he even here? I thought he was partners with Patton. "Hurry up Caz! Or we're going to miss it."
"Hold your horses!" I looked down at my mask and tensed up. I took a deep breath and slowly took my sleep one off cringing at the blast of energy that ripped through me. I started to wash my face ignoring the constant humming that surrounded me whenever I don't have my masks on. When I finally put my day one on, I grabbed a towel to dry my hair and walked out of the bathroom.
"It... It took you long... enough." I frowned seeing Roman look like he was about to throw up and glanced over at Virgil, who looked as confused as I was.
"You ok there, Ro?" He looked over at me and smiled before his face went all white and he rushed past me into the bathroom. I could hear him getting sick and I cringed. "Maybe we shouldn't go then? Since you obviously not well." Roman slowly left the bathroom glaring at me.
"It's fine. It'll pass soon." He groaned as he fell back onto my bed. "This isn't the first time this has happened. And believe it or not, I'm already feeling better."
"Yeah, because you just threw up. That's what happens." Virgil said as he walked over feeling his forehead. "Maybe we should get Patton? I mean he's probably better at this sort of thing."
"I told you. I'm fine. There was just this... I don't know how to explain it, but it's gone now. I'll be ok. Let's just go." Roman whined as he threw his arms out and I shook my head laughing.
"Nope. Dr. Patton is going to check you out. You could be dying." I said jokingly and he sighed exasperatedly.
"I AM DYING! OF BOREDOM!"
