"Good morning kiddo!" I groaned as I let my head hit the table and Patton frowned. He placed a hand to my forehead and I cringed at the cold feeling of his fingers. "Jesus, you're burning up."

"I'm fine... just tired." I looked up at him and he frowned. "Really, I'm ok."

"I'M NOT!" I jumped hearing Roman yelling behind me. He slammed this tray down on the table and just sat down clearly pissed. "I'm tired. I'm pissed. I feel like total shit!"

"How long..." Roman slammed his hands on the table and practically growled like a demon dog from the pit hell.

"Till the sun was rising in the sky, Patton. Be happy you slept." Patton's eyes went wide as he looked between the two of us and I frowned. I sneezed and Patton's face went white. I just groaned again laying my head down feeling the cool wood against my face.

"Kiddo, maybe you should..."

"Ok! Everyone outside. Class is starting!" Why does it have to be early again? Mr. Mclaughlin just narrowed his eyes rubbing his forehead. "I SAID OUT! BHOGADH!" Everyone started to jump up and leave when a pair of hands squeezed my shoulders tightly.

"Mr. Winters? Are you alright?"  I looked back to see Mr. Felix and I smiled. He placed a hand to my forehead and I groan pushing it away. "Maybe you shouldn't..."

"I'm ok." I slowly stood up and walked off ignoring Roman's confused expression as Mr. Felix hesitantly lead me away from the group altogether. We ended up at the same spot we were yesterday and I frowned thinking of my time with Roman at the waterfall. He was hurting. I could tell how upset he was. And then even after I physically hurt him he refused to leave. He wanted to help despite knowing what would inevitably happen. This was the Roman, I never got to see. This was the Roman... he forced himself to hide from me. "So what's the plan. Same as before?"

"Cassidy... you can't push yourself. That'll only make it..."

"I'm fine." I cut him off a little forcefully and he frowned. He sat down on the grass and I sighed, doing the same. I took out a rock from my pocket and just stared at it. "Mr. Kjelberg... nevermind." I took a deep breath and closed my eyes holding the rock tightly in my hands.

"Relax Cassidy. If you're too tense you can't focus." I narrowed my eyes as I felt him take my hand. He slowly took my glove off and I frowned. "You need to be able to feel the world around you. If you cut off your connection, you'll never be a part of it."

He held my hand with my palm facing out and I could feel the air shift around my fingers. Every slight movement, I could feel. I could feel the energy in the air. It was light... And the hum was soft... quiet. The wind rustled through the leaves and I could feel the charge. The energy that burst through and I smiled. I could even feel Mr. Felix. His energy... aura. Even with closed eyes, I could still see him there. Or more correctly put. I could see his energy. I saw him reach up towards my mask and suddenly everything exploded with life.

I gripped his hand tighter as the buzzing got so loud. Everything erupted with energy and I felt my skin start to crawl. Mr. Felix held my hands up tighter and took a deep breath before forcing my palms back out.

"Relax, Cassidy. You'll never get anywhere if you shy away from it." I could feel myself start to shake as everything began to get too much for me. It wasn't just the air that I could feel. I could feel the earth... the water... the other students. Everything burned with energy and it felt like an overload. I felt something cool press against my palm and I opened my eyes to see the rock. "Focus and breathe."

"Focus and breathe." I repeated as I took a deep breath and closed my eyes again. I pulled my hands away and held the rock close. I could feel the cool subtle soft energy it gave off. I could feel it reach out to me and wrap itself around me. It was calm. It was calm with the world was not. I latched on to that calm feeling and melted in the cool that overcame me. It overcame... No... I don't...

The world slowly started to go dark as the cold began to pull me under. My breathing became shallow and ragged as I struggled to just to keep breathing. My anxiety had pulled me under faster than ever. I was having an attack before I even realized I was feeling off.

"Cassidy?" I shook my head and dropped the rock, clutching my shirt as my heart raced. I have no control. What if I lose it? I shouldn't be using my powers so much. I could hurt someone. I have hurt someone. I don't... "CASSIDY!" I opened my eyes to see Mr. Felix looking at me concerned. "Breathe."

"I'm sorry..." He just shook his head and smiled. " I don't know what came over me."

"It's perfectly fine, Cassidy. Why don't we step away from all that for now?" I narrowed my eyes in confusion and he laughed. "There's more we can work on."

"Like what?" He took my hand and held it up towards me and I frowned. "Seriously?"

"Beast modes are VERY personal. You'll never truly understand or know yourself until you learn about that part of you." I laughed and he shot me this confused look.

"I thought you didn't do personal powers." He just groaned and rolled his eyes.

"I don't but I DO help my students. Regardless of there classification. I may prefer Physical but I can do Personal and Unique as well. I am a teacher. I'll do what I must." I looked down at my hand and frowned. "Let's start with some basics." I narrowed my eyes and he just laughed. "I don't know much about snakes but I do know a few things."

"No I don't have infrared vision and I don't see through scent either." His eyes went wide and then he began to pout.

"But that would have been so cool though." I just laughed still just staring at my hands. He cleared his throat and I looked up at him to see him smiling. "Although that wasn't necessarily what I meant." I smiled wide this time letting my fangs show and his eyes went wide. "Do you have venom."

"It's not like I go around bitting people..." He just shrugged and I laughed. What is with this... I had my hand up catching something before I even realized I moved. Mr. Felix looked very happy at himself as I opened my hand to see another rock. I narrowed my eyes in confusion and he just smiled.

"Snakes have very face striking speeds." I looked up at him and just... I don't know. I'm lost. I never thought about what the snake mimicry did for me. I just assumed it gave me this appearance and that was that. "We should also..." Suddenly I found myself pulled under and I grabbed Mr. Felix's hand for support. I was looking out at this field and I frowned. There was this thick black haze spreading out filled with this electricity. It made me sick. The dark evil insane energy that radiated off of it made me physically ill. "Cassidy?"

"We have to go." I opened my eyes and grabbed my mask putting it back on. "Somethings coming."
