By the time I actually managed to make myself move the day had turned to night. I... I felt numb, to say the least. He didn't even let me talk. He refused to hear anything. He just... He just left. He left me. He...

I slammed the brakes and burst into tears. He left me sitting there alone. My greatest fear... His leaving me behind. Virgil laughed. He laughed at that fear but still. I was afraid of him getting hurt. I was afraid of him dying. I was afraid of him leaving me behind. well, congrats Roman. Thanks to your ridiculous attempts at bullying him to safety he did just that. He left you behind.

I pulled into the resort and felt my lungs close up on me. I can't go in there. Caz... I just can't... My head hit the steering wheel and I frowned as the tears began to fall. What am I supposed to do? What even can I do?  Why am I...

There was this slight buzz and I narrowed my eyes. I looked up to see this small faint soft green light and I actually started to smile a bit. I can't help Caz but there is someone who needs me. I turned the car off and jumped out reveling in the charge the air seemed to have. Once again I found myself following the little orb past the clearing and through the woods until I was surrounded in those green balls of light. I took a deep breath and pushed past the vines to see this incredible sight.

"What are you doing?" I tensed up hearing a familiar voice and I looked over to see Patton shaking his head in confusion. "You're just going to get sick. Come out of there..."

"I realized something. I need a focal point. What better to use than the waterfall? Now shush so I can concentrate." So Patton was the friend he mentioned before. I wonder if that's how he knew about... Wait, why...

I spotted him just standing there in the waterfall and I cringed seeing him shaking. He was cold. The green orbs that filled the area surrounded me and I smiled. Who is this guy? I felt this pull and I looked down to see an orb gingerly hovering over my hand and I let it lead me forward. The man's eyes were closed as he held his hand tightly together. Patton watched patiently obviously worried about this guys health. I was too, to be honest.  I walked up beside Patton and frowned. Even over here I could tell it was really cold. How is he...

"ROMAN?!" I looked over to see Patton in shock and I frowned. "W-What... What are you doing here?" I smiled seeing a small flash of a light blue orb and I laughed.

"I was led... No biggy."

"IT'S LIKE 3 IN THE MORNING!" The man yelled over the sound of the waterfall and I frowned. I hadn't realized it was that late. "You should be in bed..."

"So should you." I cut him off cringing at the anger in my voice. It wasn't towards him. He did nothing wrong. I was just hurt. I could see Patton yawning and I smiled sadly nudging him towards the resort and he started to complain. "Go to bed. You're exhausted."

"Rooomaaaan..." I shoed him off and he just grumbled as he vanished from sight.

"Why are you here, Roman?" I turned to see the guy behind me trying to dry his hair with a towel and I looked away a bit embarrassed. He was wearing nothing but shorts. How was he so... confident? Or was he just... I don't know. It kinda sucks not being able to look up at him but I know how much he doesn't want me to know who he is. Maybe I should get him a mask to wear... A mask... "Hey, what's..."

"I don't want to talk about it. I told you I would help." I smiled as I sat on the ground and sighed. "So tell me how I can."

"Roman, I don't want you..." I tensed up hearing him groan in frustration before sitting down in front of me. I kept my eyes glued to the ground and he held his hands out. I frowned seeing them up close. He had scales everywhere. Even on them. I hesitantly reached out and... the moment my fingers touched his the world exploded with this light show of fire and energy. I looked up at it with such awe I didn't even notice he was holding my hand. I looked over to see his head down and I froze in place. His breathing was ragged and I could feel the intense shock the air had.

"What's wrong..." My arm began to burn and I pulled away suddenly wincing at the red welt that began to spread. What the hell...

"I'm sorry!" He jumped up and I narrowed my eyes in confusion. "I didn't..."

"Sit down." He stopped pacing and I reached up towards him without looking of course and felt him take my hands again. He sat down in front of me and I smiled. I can help him. I will help him. I won't let another person push me away. I might just be pushing my feeling on him... I don't even know who he is but... I need a distraction. He needs help. We can help each other. I held his hands tightly in mine and smiled feeling the buzz that surrounded him. "Close your eyes."

"Ro..."

"Close your eyes. I won't look. I promise." He sighed and I could hear him take a deep breath before his hands started to relax. "Ok... what do you feel?"

"Cold." I laughed a little as he started to shake and I squeezed his hands reassuringly. "It burns..." I narrowed my eyes as I looked up a bit. Not enough to see his face but enough to see how shallow his breathing was. "I-I... I don't... It just burns."

"Try to relax. I know it's hard but..." I winced as my arm started to burn again, but this time I didn't pull away. "... trust me. Please?"

"I never stopped..."
