"So why exactly are you here again?" I asked staring at Roman in the doorway holding a rolled up sleeping bag and a duffle at his feet.

"Logan kicked me out of his and Patton's room, and since there's this whole buddy system..."

"Ask someone else." I went to slam the door in his face when he blocked it and pushed his way inside. I just sighed and crossed my arms. I don't have time to deal with this. Plus having him dorming with me is not a good idea for his health right now considering I have to take my mask off several times.... like to shower.

"I don't know anybody else. Not like you guys. Just think about it like it's a sleepover. You know, like ones we used to have when we were kids."

"Just let the guy stay for tonight, so I can sleep!" Virgil popped out from under his blanket and chucked a pillow at Roman, who screamed a little to femininely if you asked me. Not that I care but it was just funny as hell.

"See even The Incredible Sulk says I should stay."

"I change my mind, let him sleep with the wolves." Roman tensed up as Virgil started to laugh. Those two have been starting to get along. I'm glad.

"Fine, but JUST FOR TONIGHT. Go ahead and sleep where ever just make sure we can't trip over you." This really is not a good idea. He'll just end up getting sick. But... I can't worry about that right now. I laid back in bed, turning off all the light, just waiting for everyone to fall asleep. I figured when I started to hear Princy snoring, I was safe to make my break for it. I grabbed a bag and headed straight for the clearing in the mountains.

"Hey, Kiddo!" Patton jumped out of the bushes startling me and I nearly punched the dude. He jumped back into them calling me a meanie and I laughed.

"It's your own fault for scaring me!" He slowly came back out of the bushes smiling and I let my bag drop. He looked at me confused and I frowned. He pointed at my sleep mask and I laughed again.

"I had to make it seem like I was going to bed so clearly... I had to get ready for bed."

"You wear a mask to bed?" I nodded and he frowned.

"This was made specifically for that purpose... same with the wraps." He narrowed his eyes and I rolled my sleeves up, causing him to go all wide-eyed. " I should probably..."

"Right, I'll just go..." He pointed back to the bushes and I laughed as he literally cannonballed right into them. "I'M OK!"

"Sure you are, Patton." I said as I slowly changed my pants. These silk pajamas were my favorite there was no way I was getting them dirty. And yes I could have changed back in the room but Roman was there so I couldn't take off my mask and I was already late... clearly.

I stuffed the pajama pants into the bag and started to unbutton my shirt. The gentle breeze was actually really nice. For everyone else, it might have been cold but you have to think... I have never been without long sleeves and full pants. Even in the summer, It was my dress code. So the feeling of the breeze against my skin was something new. I started to unwrap when Patton peeked his head out.

"Would you like some help?" I nodded and he slowly made his way over, taking the wrap from me and slowly undoing it. "The fact that you go this far to hide this... There has to be a reason."

"You know the reason." I said while frowning as he finished unwrapping everything. He stepped back and just looked me over.

"Yeah, I think I do. They aren't bad looking you know." I shot him this look and he just laughed. "You know what I mean. Your scales... they don't look bad. They actually fit. Then again you are talking to someone who loves all animals even snakes." I could feel my face start to heat up and I crossed my arms, looking away. "Did I say something wrong?"

"N-No... No, you didn't."

"Goodie, anyway let's get to work!" I nodded and let him lead me over to this big boulder thing. He spun around with this extremely serious expression and I tensed up. "Ok, Cassidy. You're gonna have to take the mask off."

"But..." He gave me a smile as he placed a hand to his heart.

"You're safe. I promise. I'm not going to leave you, Kiddo."
