Ok. Ok. It's fine. I can do this right? I mean... It's not like I haven't before. I've held my own plenty of time with these things and that was when I didn't use my powers. Now that I can it should be a walk in the...

"Cassidy?" I jumped a little looking over at the new guy. He offered me this smile but I was a bit to frazzled. I'm ok. The only thing that would be a problem is communication. That's all. And Damien is the only one in the group who doesn't know. It's... It's going to be fine.

"Has anyone explained the mission?" I shook my head and Logan frowned slightly as Roman's face fell. "They usually give us some time to set up..."

"There won't be any this time, Roman." Damien's voice was calm and collected. He just crossed his arms looking off in random directions like he's watching things play out and checking them over and over again. He narrowed his eyes as he frowned. "My father intends to play it as if it were real this time."

"What do you mean?" He glanced over at me and smiled.

"He intends on attacking us." The moment he said that this blast of smoke surrounded us in a circle and I tensed up. Damien didn't so much as flinch as this wave of intense heat tore through the place. In fact, he just sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. "Really... why is smoke always your go to. You're a fire freak. You should use it."

"Says the man who never uses his other form." I could see Damien shudder a bit as his eyes flashed with anger. That anger soon died into a smile though as he started to laugh.

"Poor Poor Mark. Are you trying to set me off?" He glanced back at me for a split second before cracking his neck and laughing some more. "Because I don't think the grounds could handle that."

"You always did use it to your advantage." Mark's voice was coming in and out in random locations. I couldn't get a grip on it. Virgil seemed to be the only one following his movements... Well, him and Damien. Damien had no trouble at all. His eyes darted about as if anticipating every movement his father made with ease. "Like you do with everything."

"What can I say? I'm a politician at heart." He whipped his hand out and I watched as these black inky vines shot out from around him. Virgil's eyes went wide as Damien smiled snapping his fingers. The smoke dissipated to show Mark standing there blocking the shadow spikes with a wall of fire. "To think you came after us first... What was the point in that? You're at a disadvantage, Father. All alone... That was a stupid move."

My skin started to crawl as there was a slight and subtle change in the energy around us. I glanced over at Roman and my heart dropped. His eyes were wide as he looked around, meaning he felt it too. I hadn't imagined it. I tore my gloves of fast as tapped Roman's arm as I ran over to Damien. Mark just smirk knowingly as his son narrowed his eyes. The moment I got there, there was a flash of light momentarily blinding everyone. I through up a guard just moments before I felt something slam into me and the light died down.

"Cassidy?!" I groaned a bit letting the rock shield fall to the floor to find Mr. Lester standing there with bright glowing eyes. Well shit. Ok... Think it over Deceit. You're the heroes. Right? The other team is not the enemy. The teachers are. I felt someone run up behind me but I was lost in thought. This is where my super intelligence works best. I narrowed my eyes feeling that subtle change again and frowned. It wasn't Mr. Phil this time. This energy... It was familiar.

"Cassidy behind you!" Logan cried out and I turned around just in time to see a black cane preventing a golden sword from striking me. I looked over to see Damien holding the cane with this look of rage in his now pitch black eyes.

"Whoever said I was alone." Mark sang out as he melted into a blast of smoke. Damien just growled. Damien spun around pushing the golden man with the sword back and I could feel the chill coming off of him. He glanced over at me with narrowed eyes.

"Are you alright?" I looked around at the others with a sad look and Damien from. "Cassidy.."

"No, I'm not." His eyes went wide as he glanced over at the others.

"He means..."

"I know what he meant." I looked up at him with wide eyes as he frowned. "Father was right. I actually really was the best option."

"Did you just admit I was right?" Damien frowned as he pushed me back behind him. I was at a loss. "Whatever did you do to my son?"

"Whatever do you mean?" Roman was ready to go wild but I couldn't let that happen. We were the one at a disadvantage. These were's other student we were fighting against these were teachers. Teachers that knew our powers better than even we did. The thing was... Mr. Felix is the only one I ever spoke to about mine. And even he can't plan for everything. Think Caz. Think.

"Damien, what are you're powers?" I could see the golden dude's eyes go wide and I frowned. Champion creation... This must be Felix's champion. Meaning... Stephano. He knows what I'm asking. Damien just looked back at me in confusion and I narrowed my eyes. "What are your powers?"

"Too many to name right now." He whispered out as he carefully watched everyone for any subtle movement. My eyes went wide as he narrowed his eyes watching Stephano twitch a bit. "Why?"

"Any that could create a distraction and let us get away?" He nodded and I frowned as he looked back at me.

"That is if you're ok with me being out of it." I grabbed his hand tightly and the gold guy lashed out. The teachers weren't moving because they wanted to know what we would do. However, Mark and Phil didn't know about my powers. Felix did. He knew the moment I took Damien's hand, I was making a move. The moment my skin touch his my whole body felt like ice. It was dark and cold. I through my free hand out and watched the world explode into a dome of darkness.

Pins and needles. That was all I felt all over my body. Nothing but pins and needles. I hated it. I hated it so much. But I kept the dome up anyway. Damien looked over at me with this wide and slightly horrified eyes as I winced under the icy energy coursing through me. If this is how it felt to have this power... I feel bad for him.

"Cassidy? What..." I shook my head and he frowned. "Right, we need to get everyone out of here and regroup. Then you can explain." Fat chance. All I'd do is end up lying. "Hold still..." I looked over to see him closing his eyes and I frowned as his face scrunched up. His eyes snapped open and he grabbed my hand quickly before running off. The dark dome fell instantly as I lost my concentration. I looked back to see the teachers just stunned but my friends were nowhere to be seen. That was until I ended up in Roman's arms somehow. "Good... It worked."

"What worked?" I looked around to see everyone but us slightly daze and their eyes glossed over a bit. Damien just laughed as he cracked his neck.

"My manipulation." His smiled wide as he glanced down at me only slightly menacingly. "Now... How exactly did you use my power?"
