'Hybrid Blood'

My body was crafted by three great gods. I was drawn from the energy of a Queen Star, the brightest star there is. I became a hybrid, out from the subjects of each creature of the team. And my blood.. they say that my blood could heal.

"Now someone's interested in your blood." Tiningnan ko agad si Jun na nags-sketch lang dito sa gilid ko. Nasa library kasi kami at sinabi ko sa kanya ang tungkol sa sinabi ni Lorisse. "Shouldn't you be more concerned about the cause of your parents' death more than my blood?" Natatawang tanong ko sa kanya. Jun just removed his gaze from his sketch pad and then looked at me. Nung tiningnan niya pala ako ay naitikom ko na agad ang bibig ko.

Damn, Jun still has that effect on me where I just shut up immediately when one look.

"I'm concerned about both. Plus, Jane's looking into it. We gotta find this culprit first. Baka ano pang sunod niyang gawin." Tumango-tango nalang ako sa sinabi niya at tsaka binalik ang tingin sa sketchpad ko. Seth said that he'll call us later if we're ready to go for the mission kaya tumambay na muna kami sa library. I traced the outline of the arrow-knife that I was drawing.

The arrow-knife..

"Hey, beautiful." Jun immediately shot cold gazes at the demon who sat in front of me. Kumunot ang noo ko at tiningnan si Luce na naglapag ng mga libro sa harap ko. Jun immediately went into his defense position at tiningnan si Luce. Luce just winced at him. "Relax, blood-sucker. As if I could flirt with this very beautiful young lady over here. Right, Xin?" Tanong ni Luce at tinaas-baba pa ang kilay niya habang nakatingin sa akin. Jun just scoffed at him and looked at me.

"Why don't you just flirt with me instead?" Tanong ni Walter na kararating lang. Tumingin agad si Luce sa kanya at tinaasan ito ng kilay. Umupo lang si Walter sa harap ko at inusog palapit kay Jun ang ibang librong dala ni Luce. Luce just flicked his tongue and looked at Walter.

"Dude, I know you're hot, but I don't do gay stuff." Sabi nito at kinindatan pa si Walter. Walter just shrugged his shoulders and sat calmly as if nothing happened. Binalik naman ni Luce ang tingin niya sa akin.

"Anyway, I'm here, purely business." Sabi niya at bahagyang tumingin sa paligid nung marinig niyang may nagbubulungan at may mga babaeng nakatingin sa kanya. He even winked at them at nag-ingay sila sa library dahilan para paalisin sila nung librarian. Naglapag pa ng ibang libro si Luce sa harap ni Jun.

Jun just looked at the books then at Luce.

"In case you wanted to know how your parents died." Sabi niya dito dahilan para kumunot ang noo ni Jun.

"There were no records of them." Sabi niya kay Luce. Luce just shook his shoulders at tiningnan si Jun.

"The devils keep records of every death, Jun." Sagot ni Luce dahilan para noo ko na naman ang kumunot. Hades keep records of every death? If Luce was able to acquire those records, it meant that Hades allowed him to because no one's allowed access to the records except for Hades and it's impossible to break in. Tiningnan ko agad si Luce dahil dito. "Hades is helping us?" Tanong ko sa kanya. Surely, I'm mistaken dahil hindi naman pwedeng mangialam ni Hades sa problema namin. It's against the law of the universe.

That the gods must not interfere with the affairs of men and other creatures.

"No." Tipid na sabi ni Luce at kinindatan ako para sabihing 'Yes, Hades is helping us'. Bigla namang inapakan ni Jun ang paa ni Luce dahilan para muntik nang mapasigaw si Luce kaya kinagat niya nalang ang kamao niya. Natawa nalang ako sa dalawa at tiningnan ang mga librong dala ni Jun.
