CHAPTER 40: The fight

Jack POV

Today is my sister's fight, and I feel sick to the to the stomach. I am really worried about her, what if something happens. I might be a winter god but my chest is burning with anxiety and suffocation. Oh my word, what has this girl gotten herself into? I feel so numb at my joins, no matter how much I increase my body temperature I am still feeling the heat. "Jack!" I heard Triton call out, "Don't come in, I am having a moment." I breathed loud enough for him to hear.

"Oh-kay. I'll wait." He said, "No, I am going to be a while." I said in a sickening voice, "Are you okay, you don't sound alright." He asked, "Just don't come inside, it's not safe." I told him, "I'm getting Percy." He said, "Get him and I will kill you." I said darkly, "Too late, he's comin." He coughed, "Stop him, I don't want anybody in here. Think of something." I told him, "Jack please, don't break up with me. I really love you." I heard a female voice say and my eyes widened.

"Jack please, I know we agreed that we would just have a summer fling, but, but I have fallen for you." The female voice cried, "Prince Percy... Can you please give me a moment with him." The girl sniffed, "Yeah, sure." Percy immediately left. "Are you gonna let me in now." The female voice said and I unfroze the whole room and made all the icicles disappear, a few seconds ago this room was a winter blizzard. I opened the door to find a female red head with blue eyes standing in front of me.

"Wow." Her eyes widened and I clenched my teeth, "Triton." I glared at him, "The one and only." The girl smiled, "Turn back into a male please." I said calmly and he did, once he did I slapped him across the face, "What was that for?" He asked rubbing his cheek, "Of all the fudging ideas you could have gotten to get rid of Percy, you chose to be the woman I had a summer fling with." I growled, "I was trying to help." He stated.

"Oh really, now I have to explain myself to Percy. Thank you very much." I said sarcastically as I got more pissed, "Listen Jack, you freaking me out here. You are literally ice cold blue at the moment and I have never seen you with black eyes, your hair is black- what's going on?" Triton asked, "Is it that bad?" I asked as I walked back into the room, "You look great, but you don't look like you. I mean it's like you are a blue moving ice man." He said as he sat on the chair, "I need to calm down before I go through that door." I breathed, "You really worried about her, aren't you?" He asked, "How could I not, the..." I trailed off because I was about to speak my second language all the way- cussing.

"We all are worried about her Jack, but we can't show it to her. You will make her nervous. You have to keep a straight face." Triton said and I nodded, "I'll will come down in a few. Please tell your dad I won't be able to fight any of the Olympians for them to measure how strong I am. It has to be another time." I sighed, "Why not?" He asked concerned, "It's not safe." I answered.

"You know they have faced a primordial before, so I guess it won't be that dangerous." Triton encouraged, "My emotions are not steady at the moment. My unsteady emotions are enough to blow up the whole planet, and that is not good. It takes a lot out of Cronus and my father to mend everything again." I told him as I bowed my head to look at the floor.

"What do you mean blow up the whole planet?" He asked, "I mean... It happened once, I blew up a planet by mistake, lucky enough there were no inhabitants or any living being on the planet. Never mind, please just convey the message." I said and he nodded, "I don't think any of them is gonna argue with you after hearing what I have just heard." He said as he exited. I laid on the bed and did not move an inch as I tried to calm myself down.

Sooner or later I calmed down and exited and went to the others, "Does anybody have the guts to wake her up?" I asked and they all shook their heads, "Okay, Poseidon, did you tell the Olympians I won't be able to fight today?" I asked, "Yes I have but they don't believe what I told them, they still want you to fight. "You too have a fight today?" Percy asked, "No, I am being used as a rat for an experiment, they want to 'measure' how strong I am- but I am not feeling well." I answered annoyed.
