Natasha POV
"Granddaughter..." Grandfather looked at me, "Yes grandfather, I'm fine. Let's continue." I was gasping as balanced on my sword. I stopped gasping so grandfather would continue with the morning training and not alert my father of how easily I got tired for today's morning training.
"Ready." He asked and I nodded as I stood in a defensive stance. Grandfather attacked again and I blocked him. I fought for a while longer till he said we should stop. "That's enough for today." He said, "Thank you grandfather." I said and went to the kitchen where mom was.
"Mom can I have some ambrosia please?" I asked, "Sure. Was training hectic today, you look worn out?" She asked, "No, not at all. Just tired." I smiled. She handed me the ichor and I was about to drink it but I felt so weak that I dropped the glass and fell to the back.
Before I fell, father caught me from behind and lifted me up. I closed my eyes as I was struck by slumber.
*****************
I woke up and sat. Father was seated by my bedside, looking at me. I had some explaining to do, "Good afternoon lord Chaos." I greeted, I had woken up in the afternoon. "It's morning." He interjected and I sat up, it was morning. I had slept for a full twenty four hours.
"Care to explain where your energy is being used up?" He asked, "I was just tired dad, nothing hectic." I said, "Tired doing what that's what I'm asking." His voice was awfully calm, I was expecting military interrogation.
"Training." I answered, "And..." He wanted me to say something else, "And nothing." I said, "Nattie, who am I to you." He asked, "My dad." I said, "You think I would be asking you all these questions if you were passing out from training only?" He asked.
"Natasha an immortal passing out is not a joke, we don't get sick, we barely need sleep. You have been doing something that's draining all your energy. You can't be doing whatever you are doing Natasha, do you know that you could fade?" He asked me and I looked at him shocked.
"Yes child, you could fade. You are still young, you haven't learnt how to monitor how much power you emit. I know we can bring you back but do you really want to fade?" He asked and I shook my head sadly.
"Nattie, father and I make you undergo training you can handle, not training that will put you in this condition. What have you been doing?" Dad asked and I made the book I had been reading appear. I handed it to him and he looked at the cover, "Magic?!" He was not expecting this,
"But this is not supposed to be draining you, it's simple." He contemplated after scheming through the book, I made another book appear and his eyes widened. "Are you crazy!?" Dad loud whispered and I gave him a confused look, why was he loud whispering.
"How did Christina raise you! Did she drop maybe?" He continued to whisper but there was a hint of frustration, "What?" I did not understand where this was going, "You are a good girl, what is with you and always being attracted to things that could kill you, Do you know how dangerous this book of magic is? Sweetheart if you have a malfunction in your brain, please tell me so I can begin work to find a cure." He said.
I blinked a few times processing the fact that my father suspected I had a mental imbalance. We stared at each other for a while, "You are not expecting me to answer that, are you?" I asked him, "No, I don't expect that, you will never know if you mad, you will see it as normal." Dad said.
"Dad are you seriously calling me crazy!?" I looked at him, "What do you call always taking the hardest and dangerous path? You call that being clever? No Nattie, a logical being will see it as stupid!" He argued.
