CHAPTER 55: Amnesia

Percy POV

Nattie was now stabilised and we were seated at the other end of her room so Nemean could explain. Just then uncle Chaos appeared and Nemean got all protective as his claws flung out. "Nemean, why are you reacting like that towards him, you never explained?" I asked, "Block her hearing." He answered referring to Nattie, "Why? It's not like she can hear anything." Jack said, "Just do it." He demanded, "It's done." Jack said.

"So what do you want from her, Perseus, why are you on his side. I thought you were good and noble?" Nemean began and I creased my eyebrows, "What do you mean?" I asked, "He's the one her put her in that condition. He's the one who had taken monsters out of Tartarus." Nemean growled and Jack, aunt and uncle released a sigh. "So it was really him, it has started..." Aunt Christie sat down defeated.

"What has started?" I asked lost, "The universal war." Jack answered, "Um... Nemean this is not who you think it is." Aunt Christie said calmly but Nemean did not look convinced, "He just has changed his white hair and white eyes and you want me to believe it's not him?" Nemean asked, "If it was 'him', then he would've done something to you and her by now, he is not reacting when you are losing your cool." Aunt explained and his claws drew in slightly.

"Listen dear, you got it all wrong. The one who did that to her is his twin brother, Order. This is Chaos, not Order. He is her father and he would never hurt her. I am her mother." Aunt called Nemean dear? "I know it's weird but he is technically my great grandchild." She read my mind. "Chaos doesn't exist, he's myth. Gods and primordials use him to scare monsters, they even pretend to meet him every 5 years. He has never been seen before by monsters." Nemean rolled his eyes.

"I'm a myth." Uncle mentally rolled his eyes. "I'm real, and I do exist. Where do you think Gaia and the others came from?" Uncle asked, "Where did you come from?" Nemean ask and it looked like that had stuck uncle where it hurt. "How do I prove it to you?" Uncle sighed, "Explain the difference between you and him." Nemean sat down.

"The one who you think is me is my twin brother Order. He is my opposite in every way, I have black hair, eyes and clothes- while he has white hair, eye and clothes. He wants to destroy and clear out the whole universe and start over... He said it is now spoilt but I opposed him. He therefore waged war and he used my weakness, my daughter Natasha. It has come to my attention that he is taking monsters too." Uncle explained and Nemean scrunched his face.

"Your twin brother's name is Order but he is the chaotic one... Your name is Chaos but you are the oderic one? Now how does that work?" Nemean tilted his head, "That doesn't matter, just let me see my daughter." Uncle walked towards Nattie's bed and Nemean stood up bearing his teeth, uncle gave him a look and he seemed to have calmed down, "Why can't I move, I thought you said you weren't Order." Nemean growled, uncle just walked towards him.

He gently placed his hand on top of his mane, soon enough, Nemean's golden body and mane turned pure black. Only his claws and eyes remained golden. Uncle had blessed him, "I'll grant a wish of yours now." Uncle said and Nemean looked up at him, "My wish is that you never ever hurt her." Nemean said, "Done." Uncle nodded and then walked towards Nattie's bed side and stoked her cheek. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and released his hold over Nemean

"If I wanted to hurt or kill you, it would be done by now. Thank you for taking care of my daughter." Uncle thanked him and he eased, "You are actually Chaos?" Nemean scrunched his nose upwards, "No, I'm Donkey." Uncle rolled his eyes, his childishness was showing again. "You have it's attitude." Nemean returned the sass. "You have his brain." Uncle Chaos added, "You have his teeth." Nemean growled, "You have have a-" uncle was disturbed by Jack clearing his throat, "Dad, please don't embarrass us, act your age for once." Jack groaned.
