CHAPTER 62: Is everything an illusion

Natasha POV

"Would you like to teleport home or take your ship?" Percy asked, "I'll take the ship." I answered, "I need time to process everything before I reach home, I also need to get rid of this crying face so that my parents don't worry that much." I told him and he nodded. "Bye everyone." I smiled and waved. Percy teleported both of us to the ship. Just then Nemean appeared before me with a golden platter in his mouth. I raised a brow and he dropped it.

"I borrowed it, I'll return it when we come back again." He said, "Then I'll steal a new one." He said in a very soft whisper which Percy did not hear but I did, "I heard that Nemean." I crossed my arms, "Oh come on, they have so many of these just lying around, they won't even notice it's gone." He whined, "I thought you said you borrowed it?" I clenched my teeth, "You not the boss of me!" He growled.

"Don't..." I bit my bottom lip hard because I was about to cuss, "Go on continue, I just want to see if I have any influence in your life. I influence you to express how you feel violently when you can't use physical means." He smiled real big playing with his eyebrows and I could not help but laugh. "And that's all I need to know you have forgiven me." He smiled and picked up the platter with his mouth  again and walked away, and I gasped then glared at how he had tricked me.

"Let him be, he looks cute." Percy smiled and I heard the platter drop. Nemean waltzed back in front of Percy and I, "Shut up seafood, who the hell are you calling cute, huh?!" He growled, "He didn't say cute, he said huge." I said sheepishly, "Are you saying I'm as deaf as my seafood now?" Nemean questioned, "Nemean, if you do not want me to take your golden platter, excuse yourself from our presence, right this instance." I said seriously.

"Oh now she speaks royal English to me just because her boyfriend is here." Nemean snorted walking away, "Nemean!" I growled, "With a dash, with a dash... Boyfriend with a dash (boy-friend), sweetheart." Nemean chuckled as he walked away. "I'm so sorry." I face palmed as I apologised to Percy, "It's alright, I love him." Percy chuckled. "Now that's weird, I have never heard of my prey loving me." Nemean came  back again.

"I thought I told you to leave?" I questioned, "That was ten seconds seconds ago. I'm sure you want me here..." He started making flirt faces as he blew kisses directed at me. "I know you want me here." He pouted and my mouth dropped then I burst out laughing as I embraced Nemean in a hug, "I love so much, but why is it so hard to stay mad at you?" I complained and we parted, "I'm that attractive babes, can't stand me but can't live without me too." He said proudly, "Casanova!" I playfully pushed him away, "In modern terms, they call me a player." He said with much smug.

"I'm not proud Nemean, you breaking the hearts of girls." I gave him a disappointed look, "Tell me that when you see and animal or monster wearing an engagement or wedding ring." He said rolling his eyes, "Anyway..." He trailed off looking into my eyes then Percy, "Anyway what?" I asked, "Neh, you too young to hear that." He said with a reminiscing smirk. "Percy what did we do when you and I were alone, this lion is not really entertaining." I said annoyed that he just dropped us like that.

"I bet y'all did a lot of stuff when y'all were alone." Nemean teased, "No, we did what best friends did." I said simply and I noticed Percy tense, "Jackson, what did we do?" I raised a brow because his body language was saying a lot of things. "Nothing much, just had those weird conversations, the funny ones and we always challenged each other if we were against each other." He said, "Who won?" I questioned with a smirk.
