CHAPTER 5: Questions

Natasha POV

I woke up with a light head and everything was just making a noise. That beeping sound was the worst. I saw Percy, Jacques, and my other friends all seated. Wait where am I. Ugh I was in the hospital, and by the looks of it- where my mother works. "Mom, mom." I called out to my mom. "Your mom's not here babe, she is quickly busy filling in some forms." Percy said forcing a smile.

"Can I go home, I really need to eat?" I asked. "Wait till your mom arrives, but she left you some food to eat." Percy said while taking out some soup- yuk. "That taste gross Perce, plus it is very light- I hate light food." I whined and sat up.

"Nattie, I need to go home now, get well soon." Camilla said while hugging me. After Camilla left they all begin leaving after giving me a hug. I thanked them as they left. Only Percy and Jacques remained. Percy fed me my soup, while I had a conversation with both of them. My mom entered a few moments after I was done.

"Dear, how are you feeling now?" She asked. "I am fine mom." I answered as she kissed me on the cheek. "Oh hi Percy and Jacques." My mom greeted, she had met them when they came to my house to do the technology project to build the cellphone tower. She also knew that Percy was my boyfriend because he had come to ask my mother if he could date me.

"Oh, and by the way honey, no more basketball for you, I strictly forbid you to enter that court ever again." My mom said taking a seat. "But mom- " I was going to protest when Percy said he agreed with my mom's decision. I looked at Jacques and he gave me the 'they are right' look, which made me sigh in defeat. We chattered until it was time for me to get discharged because my mom was going to look after me at home.

When I reached home I went straight to sleep because I been given pain tablets for the five stitches on my forehead, we had dropped Percy and Jacques on the way home. I went to sleep peacefully because I had eaten real food obviously, because of I were meant to sleep on that soup, I would die.

The whole night all I heard while asleep was, "I am so sorry Nattie, I am so sorry Nattie, Nattie I am sorry, forgive me I beg of you, forgive me." Then the female voice started to weep. I could tell that this was not my mom. It was all in my head because it had an echo at the same time blunt because of the sadness. The whole night I was twisting and turning but I could not wake up because I had been drugged.

"Nattie, wake up and take your tablets." My mom said while staring down at me holding a glass of water and tablets. "Is it at least sweet?" I asked while lifting myself up from my bed and sitting crossed legs. She shook her head no. I took the glass not pleased, put the tablet in my mouth and drank water swallowing it not bothering to chew or let it melt in my mouth.

"Now go take a shower so I can change the bandage on your forehead." My mom ordered and I went to the bathroom to shower. I took my time because I had been told that I was not going to school today. When I completed my showering I exited to see my mother sitting on my bed with all the equipment needed to change my bandage.

"Come and take a seat." My mom said gesturing to my bed. As I sat down I looked at the mirror a few metres away from me, my mom noticed and she stood in front of me so I could not see myself. "Is it that bad?" I asked. "No I just don't want you to see yourself hurt." My mom answered.

"I have gotten hurt before mom, you know right." I said while she removed the bandage. It was a bit painful but tolerable. "Not like this dear, you haven't." She sighed. "How do you expect me to be a doctor if I won't be able to see myself hurt at an extent?" I asked, "Still not budging." She said as she turned the new bandage around my forehead, all the way round to the back of my head and back.

When she was done she turned around then looked at me again holding something that just made me give a repulsive look. "I am not eating that." I said with a serious look. She raised her right eyebrow that said 'you too sick to ague with me'. I had a look of horror cause I knew she was going to make me eat that. My eyebrows took a funny form and I had begging eyes.
