CHAPTER 38: A date

Percy POV

I caught up to Nattie and held her hand, "Were you so nervous to ask me out on a date that you lied a dolphin was a perverted player?" She asked and I breathed, "I was not lying, it's true. You can ask Triton, he won't lie for my sake, not what after I did." I said, "Okay fine, I'll ask him. By the way, what did you do?" She asked, "I threw a game controller across his face and he could not do anything because you came right on time to save me." I said sheepishly.

"You are a very bad boy." She said, "No I am not, I am just immature." I smiled, "Trust me, compared to you, I can be way immature." She laughed, "So where are you taking me?" She asked, "Your favourite place that can be found any place in the world." I smiled, "Okay then, let's first go to the palace so I can get changed." She smiled, "No, let's go like this, you look great." I said but she did not listen to me, "I'll race you." She laughed as she swam faster, her tail motion was so swift and smooth but yet she swam so fast.

I just swam behind her and daydreamed, before I knew it we were by the palace. "I won!" She exclaimed happily, "I'll meet you here in ten minutes." She said and I decided to go change too, I wore a blue top with green drawings which hugged my skin, it was completely sleeveless. I swam out and met Jack on the way, "Look after her." He warned and I nodded, that is one thing I would never joke about, her safety. She was waiting for me outside by the carriage caressing a sea horse and I swam up to her.

"You know, I slaved for this horse so it could turn into your eye colour when you had gone on your suicide mission." She said, "I see you have met the Jack version of a sea horse." I smiled, "Percy, cool girlfriend you got there." Toby said, "I know." I replied and Nattie looked at me, "This is the second time you have done that. What is it?" She asked, "It's the language of sea creatures." I answered, "You can speak fish with your tongue?" She asked amazed and I nodded, "Wow Jackson, you are full of surprises and I want to be told all of them today on our date." She told me as she got into the carriage and I got in too.

Behind us were two more carriages which meant we were going to be followed by guards, I was about to protest when I saw my father on the balcony, "No, think of her safety, I know you can protect her but it's just for precautions." Dad said and I nodded understanding. "So where am I taking you and your señorita?" The sea horse asked, "To the knew restaurant." I answered and I smiled at Nattie getting a proper look at her, she was in a blue strapless top which made the necklace given by her father stand out. Her hair flowed to her waist freely and she wore beautiful dangling earnings, which Jack had gotten for her as good luck.

I leaned my head on her shoulder and she leaned hers on top of my head, "You look hot, where are you going ma'm?" I asked, "You look sexy, where are you going sir?" She asked, "I am going to my honeymoon." I said, "Really, congrats. I am going on a date with my husband." She said catching on the joke, "Well, the wife I have gotten married to is a complete wreck and has to many baggage which is enough to kill my sensitive heart. She sure knows how to throw her heel when she is angry." I said sadly, "And the husband I am married to for ten years, this is our first date." She said simply.

"Wow, your married life is miserable." I stated, "You talking about mine, I bet all you have thought so far about, is sending your wife to a mental asylum and then going to see a therapist for the trauma she has put you through with her heel." She said, "Still yours is worse, you have never been on a date after being with him for ten whole years." I gasped, "At least I don't need to see a therapist." She said and I laughed, "Hey, I just got a crazy idea." I said, "What?" She asked, "Elope with me and let's get married." I smiled, "What about my husband?" she asked concerned.
