CHAPTER 44: Anniversary

Percy POV

The scent of blue cookies sunk into my nose as my eyes we shut close from my slumber. Not long after that the sun's rays showered on my bare back, I shifted at the warm heat. "Is it morning already." I whined, "No Percy, it is in the middle of the night- that is why the sun is out." I heard a sweet sarcastic voice, "Fine then, I won't wake up." I said with closed eyes. I felt weight on the bed but I did not open my eyes, "You are a pain you know that?" She sighed and I looked the other side "So you not going to wake up?" She questioned and I ignored her.

I heard movement on the bed and then it was still again, I opened my eyes and turned around to find Nattie asleep with her back towards me. I moved towards her bed and placed my arm under her neck and turned her around, I pulled her closer to me and hugged her, "My baby." I cooed and I saw a smile form on her face, "So now you are awake?" She giggled, "How do you sleep through that horn?" She quizzed, "Like a baby." I answered her. "I brought blue cookies for breakfast she smiled opening her eyes, "I want something added for breakfast or else I won't enjoy it." I said looking straight into her eyes. "Go brush your teeth and eat breakfast." She bluntly said and I pouted but she just gave me a straight face.

I got out of the blankets, went to my bathroom, brushed my teeth and came back out again. As soon as I did I was handed my plate of blue cookies, "Man do I love these." I smiled as I took the plate, "I am not a man." She stated, "Woman do I love these." I repeated my sentence, and she smiled, "Aren't you adorable in your fringe." I nudged her cheek, "And aren't you hot when you are topless." She nudged my cheek as she exited the room, to probably get ready. I ate the cookies happily and went to go take a shower in my room.

When I was done I got ready and went downstairs, "Tell Percy I went out for a walk." Nattie said while standing by the door, she was wearing a denim jumpsuit and sneakers with her hair tied in two pony tails, she literally looked like a five year old. "No, wait for me, I'm done. I'll go with you." I said and ran down stairs, I intertwined my finger with her and we were out by the door. She placed a gentle kiss on my cheek and locked her arm around mine.

She then rested her eyes on the golden rings, "How many tasks did you perform to get these rings." She asked out of the blue,, "Fifteen." I answered and she stopped walking in the middle of the forest, "Fifteen?" She questioned and I nodded, "Are you sure it was not ten, they are only supposed to be ten?" She questioned and I thought for a while, "No, I remember very well- they were fifteen." I said then creased her eyebrows, "Summon Eros for me please." She said and I looked at her, and I called upon Eros making him appear with red and white glow. "Lord Eros, how many tasks did you make Percy perform." Nattie asked "Fifteen." Eros answered absent mindedly.

"What?! Why fifteen, it's only supposed to be ten?" Nattie questioned, "Yeah, it was ten- it was ten." Eros said now fully aware if what was happening, "No, it was fifteen." I argued, "N-no, it was ten." Eros argued, "You lying." Nattie said sternly as she walked towards him and he back away, "Percy does not know how to lie to me- you are lying." Nattie said glaring at him, "Okay, I tried my best- asked Aether, he was the one who told me to add the extra five." Eros said, "Call him." She commanded with a serious tone. "What?" Eros gasped softly, "I said- call Aether here." She said slowly and Eros did as he was told. Not long after that Aether appeared, "Why did you add onto Percy's assignments knowing how deadly they already are?" Nattie asked, "No 'Hey Aether, how has it being going'?" Aether questioned.

"Hi. Why?" She asked, and Aether just looked at her, a smile appeared on his face. It was filled with warmth and love but Nattie just stared at him emotionlessly, "Why would you make my ba- why would you make Percy work extra hard knowing he could get seriously injured or even... I can't even let the words escape my mouth. Why Aether?" She questioned, Nattie was scared I could've died. "Listen Nattie, I'm alright aren't I, so there is nothing to worry about now. Forget it." I said holding her shoulders because I could see she was gonna get emotional.
