Natasha POV
"So you say Jack has a hangover?" Percy asked as we entered the palace and I nodded. We went up to Jack's room and found mother sitting by his bedside, "Wake up Jacques, you can't stay in bed the whole day. Wake up and freshen up." Mother told him sternly, "I did, I took a shower and brushed my teeth before I lied down, I know how you feel about me drinking after the incident with the Phoenix flower. I just need to get over this and I need some rest." Jack whined, "Get up!" Mother said agitated and pulled the bedsheets off him.
"I thought your were on my side when you told Hamera to let me rest." Jack pouted with closed eyes. "Winter primordial get your pale body off this bed and... Come help me with gardening." Mom suggested, "Pft... I'll kill all your plants, ask Gaia." Jack scoffed. Mom grabbed his foot and pulled him off the bed. Jack floated in the air as mom pulled him off the bed. "Mother..." Jack whined, "Wake up frostbite. You are watering the flowers today." She said then noticed Percy and I by the door.
"Nattie, Percy." She smiled and Jack opened his eyes and stood up straight. "What are you doing with my sister Jackson, you normally on Earth at this time of the day?" Jack asked Percy, "I bumped into her by the lake." Percy said, "By mistake or did she call you there?" Jack smirked with glint in his eyes, "Bumped into her." Percy stated, "As in chest bump of shoulder bump?" Jack smiled knowingly and mother slapped his arm making him chuckle, "I can see you don't need rest anymore, come on!" Mother pulled him, "Why do you I always have to be the good boy who helps out when I have a hangover?" Jack asked.
"I'm your mother, I'm teaching you that when you consume stuff that makes you lose your mental balance, nature AKA gardening has a way of punishing you." Mother smiled, "Anyway, I know your hangover is gone now, you are just playing lazy." Mother gave him a look, "That's why you love me." Jack smiled real big and mother pushed his head over. They exited and I looked at Percy, "He looks to be alright." I stated and Percy chuckled. "If only you remembered Nattie." He thought.
"May I offer you something to drink or eat?" I asked him, "In front of you, with your nose?" He creased his eyebrows, "Don't worry about that, I can handle it." I smiled and he gave me an uncertain look, "You like those weird blue round things... What do they call it? Cookies right?" I asked and he nodded, "But how do you know?" He asked, "Jack, we gossip about you a lot." I said trying to keep a straight face but ended up giggling.
"Really... You talk about me? What about?" He smirked slowly advancing towards me, "Mhmm... I don't quite remember but it's something about you being an intense kisser." I smirked, "Really... How intense have you heard?" He asked, "So intense it's been drilled into my heard... I can visualise you kissing-" I stopped midway when I was about to mention Annebeth. "Why did you stop, let me here this gossip." He smiled smugly, "I should get you something to eat, it's bad manners not to serve you anything." I smiled quickly and walked past him.
I ran downstairs to the kitchen and there were blue cookies that had been made especially for him. I went upstairs to my room with a plate of piping hot cookies and milk and served him. "Aren't you the best?" He smiled as I placed it in front of him. "Of course I am, only for you." I said and there was a slight pause, I wondered what things my mouth uttered around him. It was like he controlled them, but it was something else he controlled, something much more.
"No, no, no." Percy suddenly caught my attention, "What?" I asked looking at him, "Well, I can't eat in silence and it makes me feel deaf. I can't let you wonder into your own thoughts." He stated and I raised a brow, "Why not?" I asked intrigued by his sudden statement, "Well, for starters, I can't read your mind." He made a face and I chuckled, "Why do you want to read mind so badly?" I asked, "I'm intrigued." He stated, "You only intrigued because you are oblivious." I stated, "So much English, for such a simple brain like mine." He said, "It's actually more complicated than you think." I stated, "No it's not." He argued, "Then answer this simple question..." I looked at him.
