Rem was a very family oriented person, as a result of which he easily got homesick when he would be away from his family. The first few months at Hogwarts had seemed terrible to him at first but soon afterwards, he found a family in his friends as well.
It was then that at Hogwarts, poor Remus would get homesick for his parents and yet in the summer break he would feel homesick for his friends.
