Remus had a great fondness for beaches. So much so that he would get over excited whenever he was taken there. Once when he was 9, the Lupins had gone to a beach for a family picnic and Rem could simply not restrain himself from jumping into the sea.
If it hadn't been for Lyall's quick thinking and the fact that he had magic to aid in the rescue, poor dear Rem would have drowned that day.
