The fall of the Dark Lord on October 31st 1981 marked the dawn of a new peaceful era for the rest of the Wizarding World but for Remus it was instead the beginning of the darkest period of his life.
With all his friends gone, he had no one to turn to and was left all alone in the whole world. Full moons became even harder to deal with because unlike before there was no one else to keep him sane and he prowled through the forests alone, howling out in pain with his yellow eyes searching for the white stag, the black dog and the dainty rat.
He could not keep his jobs due to his condition and had to constantly be on the move from town to town, city to city with no one beside him to keep him company.
