He wasn't much spontaneous and thus he wasn't comfortable on having direct contact with people.
That is, he would get annoyed on being touched or hugged unnecessarily.
But his friends were always an exception.
There would be days when either one of them would be feeling low so automatically the rest of the Marauders would tackle the person in a giant hug. It was one of their silent moments in which they let each other know that no matter what they will always be there for each other. Even if they didn't know what was wrong still they would stand together as friends.
