Emma's POV

"Emma-ah! Gwenchana?", my seat mate (aka one of my best friend), Hongbin asked.

I immediately snapped of my thoughts. "Neh? I'm sorry."

"What's up with you? Why are you in daze?", he asked again.

"Haha, I'm fine. Just didn't had much sleep. Hongbin, you should get going less you will be late for the next lesson!", I exclaimed to show him that I'm fine.

He hugged me and went off. Haiiiisss. The reason that I can't function was because of what happen yesterday. Leo... I wonder if he send that message on purpose.

Flashback

I was drying my hair with my towel when I heard a vibration. I immediately fished out my phone from my uniform's pocket and saw the most shocking message. It says 'I love Ken'. What does this mean? He's in love with someone who is a GUY!. Whyyyyy... Without realizing, my tears starts to welled up. Leo, why.. I love you more than a best friend should. I ignored the message and decided not to reply it. Tears starts to flow up as I cried myself to sleep.

After school dismissal.

"Emma-ah!", I heard a familiar voice calling. It's him. My bestfriend. My first love.

"Yah! Where are you going after this?", he asked as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

I should act normal. "Errrrr, most probably home as I had to finish up some chores since my parents won't be back from their business trip till next month.", I replied.

Leo nodded. I'm walking next to my first love right now and I can't help smiling. He insisted on walking me home. Heeh! I wish he loves me just like I do. I wonder if he is a.. STOP IT EMMA! STOP THINKING ABOUT THAT MESSAGE! I thought to myself. I can't believe the time I spent with him passed with a blink of an eye.

"We are here! I guess I will see you tomorrow Leo. Be home safe! Thanks for sending me home.", I have Leo bear hug and start turning around towards my doorstep. Suddenly, I felt someone pulling me for a backhug. I froze.

"Wha--at? Le-o? What's wrong?", I stuttered after 30 seconds of silence still not facing him. I can feel my heart beating real fast.

"Heheh! Nothing! Just wanted to hug my bestie!", answered Leo.

Bestie.. So that's what I'll ever be I guess. I could feel tears wetting the corner of my eyes. I tried to hold back my tears but to no avail. I immediately ran in my house leaving Leo dumbfounded. I'm not going to let him see me crying because of this less he will notice my feelings for him and it might ruin our friendship. I barely slept a wink that night.

It's already 6AM. I had no choice but to get ready for school. I hope I could sleep well at least tonight. After getting ready, I left only to find Leo waiting right at my doorstep. I decided to put aside all yesterday's happenings and ensure our friendship goes back to what it was before.
