today I want to write
Write until my poetry spills off the page
Touching not only your heart
But your souls
I wanna write until you feel my mind
Dip your toe in the abyss
feel the violets and grey and erudite emotions
swarming through this cage I call my mind
I want you to laugh with me
Cry with me
Feel your heart contract and throb against the glass fragments of your shattered ribs
Piercing holes in your chest with every beat
I want you to wither with me
Wither into this inevitable end that meets us all
But wither beautifully, sorrowful, with rhythm, with song
I want you to feel my love
Feel it cascade through every bone and muscle
Rushing through your bloodstream like a drug
No where near in moderation
I want you to drown in it
Drown with me
Drink up all the colours of the earth
Feel all the secrets of the universe
I want you to taste my suffering
The bittersweet sting of lust pain and anguish
I want rain when it pours and sun when it burns
I want it all
To its full extremes
To crash on me
To submerge me puncturing every wound in my body, filling me up, bringing me down, raging wars inside the battlefield of my skin
I want you to feel what I feel
through these words I write
I want you to understand me.
