Chapter 40: Doflamingo's Sudden Decision; The Wish
"Captain's girlfriend huh?" Amaryllis started. She was lying on her bed, right arm on her forehead while the left hand outstretched towards the ceiling. "I didn't know about that Kestrela. Congratulations!"
"Well it was a long long time ago but thanks Amaryllis" Kestrela scratched the back of her neck. "Have you ever admired someone, Amaryllis?"
"Eh? Hmm..." Amaryllis said. "I don't know. I think so. How do you know when you admire or like someone?"
Kestrela was taken aback. "Well" she scratched her chin. "It's hard to explain though"
"I see" Amaryllis sighed and sat up. "This is boring" She glanced around her room when she noticed the box where she kept the X-Isle feathers that fell on the submarine. She stood up and motioned towards the object.
"Is there something wrong, Amaryllis?" Kestrela asked.
Amaryllis knelt down and touched the box. "It's wet"
"Eh?" Kestrela followed her and knelt next to Amaryllis.
Amaryllis opened the box. The feathers of the X-Isle brothers were wet as well but something there caught her attention.
Amaryllis reached her hand into the box and touched the object. "Cold"

"What a messy room you have, Young Master" Monet giggled, concealing herself with her wings.
"That's why I called you guys to help me with it" Doflamingo frowned.
Monet giggled once more and started picking trash and placing it in garbage bags.
Vergo, on the other hand, sorted letters and other papers scattered on the floor.
"Have you already read this?" Vergo picked up a letter enclosed with a red rose seal. Obviously, Doflamingo hadn't opened the letter.
Doflamingo and Monet walked up to Vergo.
Doflamingo took the letter and looked at the back.
"That letter was sent years back from that guy you talked to from Rakuen Island" Monet spoke.
The Young Master opened the letter and read,
Greetings,
Your request has been granted. Your niece is back to her cheerful self. She doesn't remember anything about it right now.
But recently when she visits your place and returns to our island, my men observed her wondering and asking things that should have been forgotten.
This is getting bad. I'm sorry to tell you but her memories might come back but you must not lose hope. There is one way to make sure it won't worsen.
Separate her from the root that will stem her memories back.
"Young Master...." Monet muttered.
Doflamingo clutched the letter so hard it almost seemed like it was going to get torn apart.
"I think you should make the call" Vergo interrupted which seemed like calmed Doflamingo down.
He motioned to a drawer, pulled it open and took a Transponder Snail.
He sat next to the window and began calling. The other line seemed to take long to answer but it did pick the call up.
"I'm so sorry Young Master. I didn't expect you're going to call. I was busy talking to someone. What do you wish to talk about?"
