Chapter 24: Stroll in Dressrosa; Death at the Party

“Nani?” I stuttered. “Oji-san’s….. The king of Dressrosa?!” Who won’t even get surprised with that after you met the whole Doflamingo army/family/whatever and tell you that he was the king?

I bowed and said, “Gomen nasai I didn’t speak to you formally Watashi no ō” (my king)

“Oi, oi, stop with the king thing” he replied.

“But..” I didn’t finish when he ruffled my hair as I sub-consciously fixed it an instant. “Why do people need to mess with the hair?”

He smiled at me” That’s the Amaryllis I knew. Call me whatever you like with the exception of ‘my king’. Now let’s go around Dressrosa”

He walked to some wardrobe and started pulling out some clothes.

“You’re going to need this, Amaryllis~sama” I heard someone say.  

I saw a bedraggled guy upside down and was ‘too’ close to me. He was holding some white neko (cat) headband.

“Trebol-sama, you’re too close” I sweatdropped as I took the headband and examined it.

“But?” he asked.

“What’s this for?” I asked him back.

“Behehehe, Doffy and you will to wear some disguise since he’s king he’ll get crowded by the people and both of you won’t enjoy the day together, behehehehe” he replied as I noticed a snot bubble emerged from his nose.

“Is that true Oj…” I stopped once again.

“You call that disguise?” I muttered with a sweatdropped.

“Eh? Is there something wrong?” Doffy-jiisan asked. He was wearing a ‘flamingo’ costume with his coat still on. He was wearing a headdress with the head of the said bird and gray sunglasses, the same eye color a flamingo has. But seriously, a flamingo?

I brushed his question off and gazed at the mirror as I placed the headband on my head when it changed color, the same color like my hair.

Surprised because of that, I got more surprised when the ears started moving in a way that states I’m shocked.

“Ne, what’s with the neko headband?” I asked.

“Once it touches the hair, it automatically changes its color to blend in. Also, it can read your emotions and that’s why the ears moved like it was naturally there all the time” Sugar replied, eating her grapes.

“Sounds cool!” I exclaimed. “Where did you guys get it?”

“Actually I received it from someone but as you can see…” she pointed to her head. “I already have one and its bear ears. At least, I made Amaryllis-chan happy”

I crouched down to meet her eyes straightly and smiled, “Thanks Sugar-chan. But does that someone know about it?”

Sugar immediately changed since she stopped eating the grapes. She lowered her head and said, “I don’t think that person needs to know…”

I got confused, the ears moved to state that emotion.

“Amaryllis, wear this” Doffy threw some clothes to me. He gave me a black hooded long-sleeved shirt and pants with cat paw prints. (A/N: Notice who else wear pants but not paw prints? :3)

“Wait, does Aniki and Sage know about this?” I asked him.

“About that, the guy with the name Vlad said its fine since I asked him about that. Sage and Vlad are with Baby 5 and Buffalo, taking them to some parts of the island” he replied.
