Rose POV
'Rose! Wake up!' a voice whispered in my head, I shook it away, wanting to stay in the peace where everything was calm and normal.
'Rose! Wake up now!' the voice spoke again and I groaned, knowing she wouldn't leave me alone or go away, she was part of me anyway.
"Go away." I mumbled, rubbing my forehead.
'Thats it! Your waking up! Only five more days! You get to meet your mate then!' she said happily and I could imagine her doing a happy dance in my head.
My eyes snapped open at that and I sat up straight, wincing in pain.
"No! He won't want me!" I said to my wolf out loud as I leaned back against the bed, wishing I could just disappear, the pain would go away then.
'He already does.' She whispered, her voice fading as our connection was getting weak, I can't talk to her as much as before until the shift. I'll loose her completely for a few days and then she'll come back to me after I shift the first time, more annoying than ever.
I always wondered why I could connect with my wolf without shifting, one of the many things that showed I was different from the other pack members.
"How are you feeling honey?" A doctor asked as she walked in the room, looking down at a clipboard.
"Where am I?" I asked, ignoring her question.
"Your at the pack hospital. Your father brought you after a bad accident. But of course I didn't believe that, considering the way every one has treated you. I wish I could've helped." She said with a sigh, writing something on her clipboard. "How are you feeling?"
"In alot of pain. But I'm okay. Not as much pain as I thought though." I shrugged, wincing in pain.
"Well you are a royal, which I'm guessing you don't want people knowing about, since barely anyone does. Your family has found you though." I went pale at that.
"Real family? Or beta family?" I asked, hoping it wasn't the beta's son, Josh.
"Your real family of course silly! The beta's ex-wife is having them at her house until your coming of age." She explained, smiling at me.
"Okay. So they know I'm here? Like, in this bed?" I asked curiously.
"Well, no. They think your at the pack house preparing for your coming of age."
I sighed, closing my eyes.
"You need rest sweetie. I'll come back later with your dinner. Do you want visitors to come in?" She asked kindly in her motherly voice.
"I don't want visitors." I said and she left after sternly telling me to rest.
I closed my eyes again, lying there for about a half hour before I realized my decision.
I threw my legs off the side of the bed, ignoring the pain as I stood up, walking to the window.
Two floors, not that bad.
I sighed as my feet touched the ground, pain shooting up my body before I took off running into the woods.
I needed to leave, I didn't belong here, I was a freak.
It was safer here without me.
I sighed as the smells of the forest surrounded me, feeling it before it came.
'Do you want to shift now?' Leila asked, who I now knew as my wolf.
'No. I want to wait.' I responded hesitantly.
'Fine. I'll just give you your powers for now. You can shift on your birthday.' She said and I froze.
I was suddenly thrown back into a tree, making me scream out in pain. I looked up to see a white wolf with blue patches, staring at me sadly.
My wolf.
'I need to do this if you want your powers. Just forgive me afterwards.' She said as her paw came down on my chest, my world going black for the second times in twenty four hours.
