*Josh's Point of view*

I pulled into the palace driveway, a smile on my face until an ambulance drove past me.

I parked the car, running up to Rose's parents who were crying their eyes out.

"What happened?" I asked as I jogged up to them, the twins following behind.

"Rose. She went to the ocean. She stayed out to long. She didn't see the storm coming. She drowned." Her father said.

His voice breaking multiple times as he tried to hold the tears back.

"She wasn't breathing." Her mom said while  fresh tears started  running down her face.

I didn't say anything, I couldn't say anything.

But I needed to get to her, I needed to be there to make sure she was okay.

I ran back to my car, hitting the gas as I took off after the ambulance, calling out the window to tell them to watch the twins.

I was desperate.

She couldn't die, she wouldn't stop breathing if I had anything to do with it.

I slammed my foot on the breaks at the hospital, not caring that I left the keys in the engine as I ran into the hospital.

The lady at the desk, knew what I was here for, she was a wolf who knew about the royals.

"Room 342, second floor." She said, smiling sympathetically.

I nodded briefly and got on the elevator, tapping my foot impatiently.

I sighed as I stood out the room door, dreading what I would find.

Rose was lying on the bed, an air mask on and hooked up to many machines.

It broke my heart to see her like that, her pulse rate was low, bruises on her once tan skin, bags under her eyes, everything made her look dead.

I collapsed beside her, gripping her hand in mine, her cold skin making me flinch.

And I let the tears fall.

I shouldn't have let her go. I should've went after her. She would've been fine if I hadn't left the palace grounds.

It was all my fault.

And I would regret it my whole life.
