Rose POV
When I was done with them, everyone was terrified of me, except the twenty-seven people standing in the ocean.
I had burned people. I had beat people. I had made people feel what it was like to be lonely and unloved.
I did to them what they told me they did to others.
When I was done, it was well near morning the next day, I was just giving my last words. I was exhausted, couldn't even stand on my feet straight.
Twenty-five of the people in the water had left, others had tried to, but I wouldn't let them. Josh and his mother had stayed, helped me deal with people out of control that I couldn't handle on my own.
"We can't fight anymore. It's not worth loosing anyone. And those twenty-seven people standing in the water, they may have dreamed of killing or hurting someone, but then they thought, 'Would I like it if I were in their position?' They didn't need to be told like little kids that they need to learn. I will be on this earth for a very long time, and if I ever hear someone lays a hand on someone else for no acceptable reason, I will make damn well sure that you will never be able to touch anyone again. Now you can leave." I dismissed everyone with a wave of my hand.
There were only about two thousand people there today. Wolves were decreasing in size quickly, something I planned to change, and hunters were growing rapidly. Normal humans had no idea what was going on today, but they would soon.
I turned around and nearly collapsed against Josh if it weren't for his arms going around my waist and pulling me to him.
I brushed my fingers through his hair, letting my eyelids droop for the first time in nearly twenty hours.
"I think I'm supposed to be mad at you for something..."I trailed off drowsily, making him chuckle.
"I don't know why you would be mad at me, I did nothing wrong." He said innocently.
I stared up at him, couldn't keep the goofy smile off my face as I stared at him, my fingers curled into his brown hair.
He bent down slightly, putting an arm behind my knees and picking me up bridal style barite I could react.
A soft gasp of shock left my mouth at the sudden movement and my arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, face an inch from his.
I moaned silently and pressed my lips to his softly, just wanting to be with my mate right now, before pulling away after a few seconds.
We were in our bedroom quickly, me not even paying attention to anything as I pressed my face into his neck.
He laid me down on the bed, pulling off my sundress and sandals before kicking off his boots and stripping down to his boxers quickly before climbing into bed, pulling me safely into his chest.
His arms snaked around my waist from behind, a hand on my stomach with the other on my waist as he pulled my back into his chest and tangling his legs together with my own.
"I love you." He whispered, face pressed into my neck.
"I love you too." Were my last words before the darkness engulfed me.
And I allowed it, not expecting the dreams I would have.
