Rose POV
I looked around in a panic, they were coming. They were coming to get me.
They couldn't.
They were going to the wrong place.
It was a trap.
"Josh?" I asked for the hundredth time through my link with him, and finally received an answer.
"We're coming to get you." He said, hope in his voice.
"Don't. I heard them talking. It's a trap. Head south, towards the forest and away from the mountains. You'll fond me in the forest." I said, desperate for him to listen.
"Okay. I'll tell your parents. I will find you." He said, the link weakening.
"Go around the town! Don't go through! They'll be expecting that." I said and heard his faint 'Ok' before the link completely shut down.
I heard the door slam shut and Kristen entered the room not even two seconds later.
I cowered back in fear, not wanting my child to be hurt by anyone.
A pained look crossed her face and she crouched down beside the small cell and putting her hand on the cell bars to keep herself up.
"Don't tell Josh or anyone your here." She started, glancing behind her up the stairs. "I'm going to get you out of here. But you can't tell anyone. Peter has a plan for anyone who tries to find you. And if you want them to be okay, you can't tell them where you are."
I stared at her for a few seconds until the truth of her words settled in.
She wasn't lying.
I immediately went to the link in my mind, desperately trying to contact Josh.
"You told him, didn't you?" She whispered, eyes widening.
I only nodded.
"I'm going then. I'll meet them half way and tell them not to come for now." She said and stood up, and then she was gone, leaving me alone.
Not two seconds later though, the door opened again and Peter descended down the stairs, a smug look on his face, that quickly turned into a scowl when he saw me, hate filling his eyes.
After a few seconds, a cruel smile formed on his face.
"You want to know why you're here, don't you?" He asked.
A growl ripped out my throat and I jumped forward, gripping hold of the bars and not caring for the slight sting I felt with me touching silver.
"I don't care about that. You turned Kristen against me." I growled, feeling my wolf start to take over as my claws extended and my eyes changed color, to black I'm guessing.
Peter stumbled back, all color draining from his face, pure terror and hatred filling his eyes while he looked at me.
The look quickly left his eyes and something else that I couldn't decipher formed on his face, a dazed look in his eyes now.
And he stepped forward, to quick for me to step back, and gripped my chin, forcing me to look at him.
And then his lips were on mine.
