*Rose's Point of view*

My head shot up, banging hard against the wall as I heard the sound of cracking on the cave floor. I groaned again as something hit the back of my head, making me wince in pain.

I heard a scratching noise above and I turned my head up, squinting to see in the darkness, which didn't even work at all since I failed at seeing anything.

The scratching got louder and then I heard low cursing from the last person I wanted to see or hear from.

Josh.

I crawled around on the ground, looking for somewhere to hide, when I felt a cloth under my hands, many cloths actually.

Then I remembered.

This is where we kept all of our blankets in case of an emergency.

If my memory were correct, there was a pile of blankets that's speed across the floor about two feet high.

I crawled under the blankets, burying my body in the blankets, since I was so small it came easy to me.

I heard the sound of pounding, and then the sound of concrete shattering as it hit the cave floor, creating a loud shriek and I covered my ears and winced.

A body fell to the floor next, and then more mumbled cursing.

"Is she down there?" I heard Pixie call.

"I think so. But I can't see her." Josh said as his footsteps came closer to me.

"Keep looking. "I don't think I can hold them off for much longer." Pixie called  her voice laced with tiredness and strain.

I lifted the edge of the blankets up, nearly screaming when I saw Josh's boots right in front of my face.

I slapped a hand over my mouth, breathing shakily but quietly, praying that I didn't give myself away.

His feet shifted slightly and I could picture him wracked in nerves, terrified at the thought of not finding me.

But he wouldn't find me

He didn't want me.

Stacey is his mate.

I'm not wanted here, by anyone.

Especially Josh.
