*Josh's Point of view*

I fidgeted in my seat nervously, waiting for the moment Rose would collapse screaming in pain. I wasn't looking forward to it, trust me I wasn't, but with every second that moment grew closer.

On the exact second of the minute she was born sixteen years ago, she would shift that exact second.

I didn't exactly know when that was, her parents wouldn't tell me or anyone the information. The only ones that knew were Kyle and themselves.

It was only 10 in the morning, but I was still worrying about Rose. I was restless I needed her to help me calm down, but she kept blowing me off like nothing was wrong, but I could see her getting more scared and nervous each second.

I stared at the clock, my eyes shifting from it to Rose.

I cringed when she narrowed her eyes at me, smacking my arm.

"Stop being so nervous! I'm the one who should be nervous! Your not the one shifting for the first time today." She huffed and crossed her arms like a little kid.

We were sitting in the living room in the love seat, her sitting across my lap, eating a bag of chips.

I rolled my eyes at her, reaching for the chips but she pulled them away from me, glaring.

"I'm your mate. I'll be worried until it's over." I said. "And that's a family size bag of chips! You could at least share some."

"Your the one who said I need to gain weight. And this is how I'm gaining weight." She smiled smugly at me and I rolled my eyes again, causing her face to scrunch up into a frown. "Stop doing that, it looks feminine."

"Feminine?" I said, trying to keep frown  while laughing.

"Yes. Feminine. Do you not know your vocabulary?" She said, sticking her tongue out at me playfully.

I couldn't help but groan as I stared at the woman who was going to be the death of me one day.

She frowned slightly.

"What's wrong?" She asked worriedly,  tilting her head to the side and causing her hair to fall into a curtain over her face as she stared at me with those big brown eyes.

I groaned again, trying to keep my wolf under control as I ran my hands through my hair in frustration.

She stared at me in confusion and worry.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" she asked worriedly, studying my body for any injuries.

I couldn't help it, I pulled her face to mine and pressed my lips to hers.

It was nearly noon by now, my nervousness gone as my lips moved softly against hers.

She pulled away, staring at me but at the same time not staring at me by the distant look in her eyes.

She gasped lowly and I looked at the clock.

One second from 12 noon, her parents ran in.

The clock ticked once and Rose fell to the ground, holding her head and screaming in pain.

This was the  worst moment of my life.
