Josh POV

I cringed mentally when a loud shrill noise filled my ears.

I snapped out of my daze, pulling out of Rose's mind and coming back to my own, to where Linda was sitting on my lap, jaw slacked and face scrunched up while she screamed.

I clamped a hand on her mouth, shutting her up and she looked up at me with wide, innocent eyes.

I carefully pulled my hand off her mouth, satisfied when she didn't make a noise.

"Why are you screaming?" I asked sternly, causing the brave look to falter from her eyes, but it was still there.

"The royals have been trying to get your attention for hours." She said and pointed behind her, to where Rose's parents were standing, a stern look in their narrowed eyes, her mom anyway. Her dad seemed oblivious.

"What happened?" Her mom asked.

"Nothing. Just thinking about Rose." I shrugged nervously, yet fear building inside me.

They were hurting her, and I couldn't help.

Her dad walked up to me and slapped a hand on my back, looking at me sympathetically.

"We will find her." He said in a tone that sent chills through me. The look in his eyes told me one thing. He was terrified, he was angry, he was heartbroken.

The same way I felt.

I searched my mind, looking for the link Rose had created so I could see what was going on.

But I couldn't find it.

"She's pregnant and she's in danger. We have to find her before something happens." I said, desperate to have my Rose back in my arms.

"We will find her. I am positive that we will. But do you have any idea where she is?" He asked.

"In a white house somewhere in the woods. It looked like a cabin." I said what I knew.

Her mother looked confused before understanding dawned on her face.

"She let you see through her mind, didn't she?" she asked, tapping her temple with her index finger, pride showing in her eyes.

I only nodded.

"The winter cabin? That we go to every winter?" Pixie asked, sitting beside me. "Kristen and Peter have been going up there a lot lately, I thought it was because it's nearly winter."

"Then I guess we start our vacation early then." Kyle said, a weird look in his eyes.

Everyone agreed, so we left the twins and Rose's mother at the palace while me, her father, Adrian, Pixie, and Kyle got back in the car and started towards the hills, where winter had already began.
