Josh POV
I smiled in satisfaction as I stepped away from my father, who was screaming and holding his arm in pain, blood pouring between his fingers.
Everyone was silent around us as I wiped the blood off my face with the back of my paw.
I turned back to Rose, who was staring at my father with wide eyes and then looked at me, her eyes scanning me to make sure I was alright, I hope thats why.
Everyone in the pack suddenly stepped back, creating a pathway with their heads bowed in respect as the two most important people in the werewolf world walked past them, heads held high.
Rose tilted her head back, sniffing the air slightly.
I stared at her in confusion. She hasnt shifted, so how are her senses stronger?
I shrugged and walked up to her, pulling her to my chest just as her parents reached us.
Joy shown in their eyes, but they kept their cold appearence as they told the pack to leave.
Everyone quickly scattered away, not wanting to upset royals.
The woman quickly pulled Rose into her arms, happy tears pouring down her face.
Rose stood there, unmoving, a look of shock on her face.
Her father embraced both of them as the four other siblings of Rose came out, attatching themselves to their family.
I sighed, turning away.
They didnt need me, I wasnt part of their family.
But my thoughts were quickly pulled away when Rose pulled me into the large hug, a look of pure joy on her face.
I smiled down at her as I wrapped my arms tightly around her.
She's with real family. She no longer has to deal with my father, and neither do I.
