He never hurt anyone, he never meant to any way, and when he did, it was by accident.

Josh, who's name I hate to say or even think, killed someone out of pure anger. And I could only assume that wasn't the first person he had hurt.

I smiled at Charlotte, on of my triplets, as she ran up to me, lifting her arms up and I pulled her into my lap.

It's been five years since that day. Since I lost my true mate.

But something about this story felt wrong, like that wasn't how it was supposed to end.

I learned soon after I had the triplets, that Josh wasn't their father, Peter is. It still confuses me to this day how he could be their father when we never mated.

But I missed him so much. I may of only spent that short day with him, but in that time he had become my everything.

Joseph ran up to me, also climbing onto my lap and I watched as Alyssa ran around the playground with her friend, a boy who seemed to act like her mate.

And then, Charlotte asked the one question I had been dreading since they were born.

"Mommy? Where's daddy?"
