Josh POV

I shook Rose worriedly as she continued thrashing in her sleep, but she wouldn't wake up.

"Rose? Get up. Wake up." I whispered, mostly to myself.

She was biting her lip, hard enough to draw blood, with the sheet crushed in her tiny fists, a frown on her face with tears pouring out her eyes.

She looked so scared, so helpless.

Whimpers left her mouth with a few whispered words I couldn't hear clearly. She was shaking uncontrollably, and I couldn't help.

I grabbed her shoulder, shaking her roughly, but gently enough not to hurt her.

Her eyes snapped open and she sat up, tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly as she crawled into my lap.

She didn't answer, or at least, I think she didn't.

"I was so scared. I thought something would happen." She whispered, mostly to herself.

"What's wrong?" I asked again, wrapping my arms around her and pulling her into my chest. She was still shaking, but not as much as before, as she cried into my chest. Her small hands gripped my T-shirt in fists, pressing herself more firmly into me.

I hated her like this, but i was going to be there for her from now on, just like I promised myself.

So I held her, whispering soothing words for nearly an hour before she fell asleep again. But I still held her, afraid of letting her go.

I needed to do something for her, give her something no one else would. Not for her sake, but for both of ours.

I needed her to trust me, to open up to me. I needed to be there for her.

A smile came to my face as a plan formed in my head.

I laid Rose down on the bed, lying down next to her. The smile on my face got bigger when she rolled on top of me, as if knowing where I was.

If this plan didn't work, I don't know what I would do.

~~~~~*~~~~~
Can anyone guess what his plan is??? There are two things, can you figure them out???
Now I would ask you to comment or vote, but I don't want to seem like those pushy writers or desperate writers who live for the vote and comments, no offense anyone. I like the pace my book is going at now. And thank you SOOOOOOOO much for reading, I am eternally grateful!!!
