Rose's Point of View

I gripped the bars tighter, hearing the tires on the gravel driveway. I could feel it in my gut, something bad was about to happen.

My wolf was wild, she could feel it.

Something was going to happen.

I heard the snarls and growls as the fighting began.

I turned around, staring at the rock wall and an idea came to mind.

I lifted my hand up, shutting my eyes tightly and focused all my energy on making a hole in the wall.

I opened my eyes a few seconds later only to find a small dent, so I did it again, this time succeeding.

Awesome right? I could control all four elements, apparently.

Fire, Earth, Wind, and water.

I shifted, since that's the only way I can actually walk, and ran through the hole, emerging from my prison.

I turned around only to freeze in my spot when I saw a wolf on the ground with four wolves surrounding it.

And one wolf on top of it, trying to rip it's throat out.

I gasped, tears gathering in my eyes when the wolf shifted and laid there, motionless beneath Josh, the Josh that I had thought wasn't capable of hurting someone.

I took off running toward them, shoving through my family and pushing Josh away from Peter, my real mate.

I shifted just as I got to him.

I dropped down, pulling his limp form into my lap and his eyelids fluttered slightly. He looked horrible, his face was scratched up, blood pouring from multiple wounds on his body.

"No. No. You told me that he can't hurt you. Please don't die," I began begging for his life, I needed him.

I loved him more than anything.

But his heart was still beating.

Slowly and weakly, but still beating.

"I'm sorry," He whispered weakly.

I ignored his words, burying my face in his chest, hoping his heart wouldn't stop beating, though I already knew it would.

I leaned my head down and pressed my lips to his softly, feeling him try to move his in return.

"Please don't leave me," I begged, tears flowing down my cheeks.

I stared down at him, brushing his hair from his forehead while he took his last breath, three words slipping from his lips before his heart completely stopped beating.

"I love you."
