 *Rose's Point of view*

I stared around in confusion, my eyes landing on Josh as he sat in the chair beside the bed, his eyes red and puffy from crying as he held my hand loosely in his sleep.

I pulled the mask off my my face, staring at it as I took a deep breath, a sharp pain in my chest causing me to wince and put the mask back on.

I leaned back against the pillows with a sigh as the door cracked open and my parents stepped in, my eyes closing with tiredness.

They didn't know I was awake.

"He really should go home. He hasn't eaten or slept at all until now. Its been a week. I think he should just accept the fact she may not wake up." I heard mom whisper.

"She will wake up, she has to. "She survived so much more than this before, She's strong." Dad said.

"It's just a shame she never let him explain."

I can't believe that man and Stacey. They deservemore then  going to prison for beating those poor kids and doing what they did to everyone."

Explain? I didn't let him explain?

"She should've known they would've tried something again." Mom said.

Oh. I should've known.

"She looks better though. More color in her face and her skin is actually warming up." Dad said as his hand touched my forehead, gasping slightly.

"There's something different."

"What do you mean?" Mom asked worriedly.

"Feel her skin. It's warmer than a normal wolves, than anyone's."

I felt another hand touch my forehead.

"She's awake." Mom said.

I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face, she knew me to well.

"How'd you know?" I asked, staring up at her smiling.

"I know my own daughter even though I haven't seen you for years, I know everything about my kids, Now your father, he becomes clueless in that department." She chuckled when dad scowled.

I felt Josh's hand tighten around mine and my eyes snapped to him, watching as he yawned and rubbed his face with his free hand before he stared at me with sleepy eyes, his eyes going wide after a few seconds.

"Your awake." He said as if not believing it himself.

I smiled at him.

"I'm awake." I said as he looked me over.

He leaned forward, taking me by surprise as he pulled me into his chest.

"I thought I lost you." He said sadly, kissing my forehead softly.

"I'm sorry for not listening. I should've known it was them." I said.

He went to say something, but the door opened to reveal two kids around the age of four, a boy and a girl that looked like twins.

"Joshy!" The little girl said as she and her brother ran over to him.

Josh smiled and pulled them both into his lap before looking at me.

"This is the lady I've been telling you about." He said as my parents slipped out the room, he stared at me with hopeful eyes as I stared back in confusion.

"Our mommy?" The boy whispered to Josh secretly.

"That's only if she says yes. Ask her." He whispered back.

The boy climbed into my lap.

"Will you be our mommy? Our other one hates us." He asked, staring up at me with wide grass-green eyes.

I had to bite my lip to keep from crying. How can a mother hate that face?

I knew the answer to the question though before he even asked, my wolf had claimed them as hers.

"I don't know..." I trailed off, acting like I was thinking about it.

"I have to at least know your names."

"I'm James. And that's Linda." He said, pointing at his sister.

The boy turned back to me, hope in his big green eyes.

"Will you?" He asked, the hope disappearing with each second I didn't answer.

"I'll be your mommy." I said, "But Joshy has to become your daddy too."

"But mommies and daddies have to be married." Linda said.

Josh whispered something in her ear, something I couldn't hear, making a smile come to her face.

She jumped off Josh's lap, grabbing her brothers hand and pulling him towards the door.

"We're going to get a snack." She said before the door closed.

Josh turned to me, a sad smile on his face.

"What's wrong?" I asked, skimming my fingers over his cheek, loving the feel of the five o'clock shadow beneath my finger tips.

"We found out something yesterday, your parents and I, after the doctor took more test." He said.

"What did you find out?" I asked, frowning.

"Rose," He sighed, "Your pregnant."
