My eyelids clenched and my body turned but still that uncomfortable light probed at me. I grunted and huffed, whining as I slowly opened my eyes. I could care less about the drool around my mouth and the messy bedhead, all I cared about was who turned on the light and what would be the fastest way to kill them.
The light turned my vision white before hazy colours slowly faded in. 'Oh...its just the sun...' I closed my eyes again before what I'd just seen hit me. 'The sun...? I'M LATE!' Cursing my alarm clock for not working, I struggled to put on my clothes and, in my sleepy stupor, somehow missed the date on the calendar.
I grabbed my phone once my blazer was on and hovered my finger over the message icon to text my teacher before the date caught my eye. 'December 25' "its Christmas... I DON'T HAVE SCHOOL!" I groaned as I tore off my uniform.
Once I was back in some comfortable sweatpants, I made my way downstairs.
Remembering what I had thought of yesterday, I opened up my flimsy laptop and slowly filled up a listing.
'Housemates wanted, large house with 6 rooms for rent.'
That sounds like a good header?
I filled in the address and set the rent at a pretty decent price. It would be enough to cover utilities which would mean I wouldn't have to worry about getting a second part time job to maintain the house.
I hesitated before posting, hurridly adding
'preferably male'
With that I sent my listing out into the wonderous world of zeroes and ones and moved to pour myself some tea.
Well, I tried to anyways.
I barely took three steps towards the kitchen before a notification blipped on my computer screen.
My listing got a hit.
A chatroom opened up between me and a pictureless profile by the name of Karl. If only I'd registered the irony of the situation.
Inside he had explained how he would be moving out of the country for a couple months and needed a place for his six boys on short notice.
'Six? What poor lady had to produce all of those kids?
But ain't that a funny coincidence'
He mentioned they were all supposed to attend a school in my area, my school.
I hesitated, not quite wanting to have 6 teenage boys in my home.
But then he mentioned the rent
he was willing to pay.As much as I don't consider myself a materialistic person, the amount he was willing to pay would let me study with no need to get any part time job.
BASICALLY IT WAS A DAMN GOOD OFFER.
So my dumbass agreed.
"Great," he messaged "they will be there soon."
I paused.
'soon? What the hell does he-'
Then, the doorbell rang.
I stood stunned for a bit before panic set in.
'I SHOULD GO CHANGE INTO SOMETHING MORE PRESENTABLE
but then again I'd be living with these people for upwards of a year, how presentable need I be?'
I groaned but hurried to the door as the bell rang again.
"Hi there, I didn't expect all of you to be-"
My breath hitched in my throat.
A blonde, a ravenette, two redheads, one with purple hair and an albino.
There was no mistaking it...
'What, the, HOLY, ASAHI?! The Sakamaki brothers?!'
I rubbed my eyes but there was no mistaking it. Their faces, their clothes, everything was a perfect match to their on screen counterpart.
They seemed to notice my staring choosing to stare back.
'Thats...not creepy at all...'
"U-uh, hi, my name is Ace," I try but fail at speaking even somewhat normally.
I MEAN WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO SAY TO MY CHILDHOOD OBSESSIONS??
'This is all one big coincidence, they don't exist!'
"Do you guys have any luggage I can help with?" Smiling I try to calm myself.
The Reiji looking one give a slight nod and steps aside, revealing a rather imposing mountain of bags.
'Great, just great...'
Pushing down my frustration, I grabbed the first pile of suitcases and beckoned the boys in as they carried whatever was left.
I wasn't the least bit comfortable being alone with a group of possible blood suckers but the climb ahead of me seemed even worse. Still I trudged up the three flights of stairs, beads of sweat rolling down my forehead. As I reached the first room, I turned towards the boys and, sadly, I couldn't see a single one out of breath in the slightest.
"Uh, who's taking this room?" I nudged the door open, revealing a minimally decorated room. "I'll take it~" The Laito lookalike stepped forward, pulling his luggage behind him. I could see his hand move uneccessarily and I grabbed the hand that was, expectedly, reaching for my shirt. He looked surprised but seemed even more amused as he began inching closer. "Don't even think about it, lover boy." With a quick shove to the face I was able to trap the pervert in his room.
One down, five more to go.
