Chapter 31: thirsty~~

"Subaru," Ayato called for his younger brother.

The albino turned to him, spotting the phone in his hand. "Thats Ace's..." Subaru looked over at his brother.

"I was with Midget earlier when his friend came by..." Ayato paused before walking up to Subaru and holding up the phone, the lockscreen clearly displaying the latest text Ace had received.

"An impostor..." Subaru grit his teeth. (*Cue Among Us intro music*)

"What should we do then...?" A voice came out of the darkness.

"Shu, get out here!" Ayato called out. "I'm right here..." The eldest sighed, appearing beside Subaru.

Subaru rolled his eyes but kept his focus on the task at hand.

"So do we tell him or not?" Subaru muttered, gazing harshly at the phone in Ayato's hand.

Shu kept silent while Ayato spoke up. "Not yet, we should try to find out more..." Ayato uttered, pinching the bridge of his nose before dropping his hands after realising how Reji-like the action was.

"Then this stays between us." Subaru commands before the three of them part ways.

'where the heck is my phone?!'

I was 10 seconds away from being so frustrated I could scream.

I stomped back in my room for what seemed like the 5th time after fixing Teddy and finally spotted the shiny screen on my bed.

"There you are!!" I sighed, just glad to have my phone back.

I picked it up to unlock it but...

'thats strange, I must've left it unlocked...?'

"Ace." I turned around to find three guys standing in my doorway.

"H-hey guys, what are you all doing?" I ask, a little jarred at how suddenly they'd appeared. Ayato was the first one to approach, sitting himself beside me on my bed. "Oi Midget, Ore-sama has decided to accompany you to that stupid halfblood's concert!"

'what...?'

"Uh, I-"

"We'll be coming along too," Subaru stepped forward, flanked by Shu.

I stared at them blankly for a bit before replying.

"A-alright! It'll be fun!" I smile uneasily at the boys.

'This should be interesting...?'

Then the bed dipped beside me. I barely had time to look before I was pulled down into bed. I caught glimpses of blonde hair and relax into the hold of the sleepy brother.

"Oi bastard! What do you think you're doing?!" Ayato yelled, clearly unhappy about who's arms I was in. I felt another pair of hands grip my waist as the other side of my bed sunk. Short hair tickled my neck as the warm breath of Ayato sent small shivers down my spine. "He belongs to Ore-sama!" His arms tightening around me.

"G-guys-!" I try to squirm but their hold is unrelenting.

'I'm not a damn Levi bodypillow...'

"Both of you-" Subaru sighed before I hear him shut my room door and flick of the lights. Then I hear the wooden chair legs drag across the floor before coming to a stop beside the bed.

'in the arms of two of my childhood dreamboats while another keeps us company near by... I think I hear my 12 year old self squealing~'

Sighing, I relax into their hold.

"Good night you guys..."

"Ace, wake up..."

'ugh not again...'

I sit up, finding myself once again in the middle of the gold expanse.

"How have you been doing?" That voice was the same as the one I'd met when I was stabbed.

"Good I guess," I sigh and rub my arms.

"You're a heck of a lot nicer than the other guy..." I say without really thinking. "Your voice is nicer too."

That is until,

I hear the voice hitch.

"Its already begun..." The voiced whispered.

A chill shot down my spine.

"What has-?" But before I vould complete my sentence, the voice replied.

"Take heed of my words, that man is not to be trusted." I get to my feet at this, looking around the room.

"B-but this is my head right?! If he can't be trusted, why is he-"

"Your life is now in critical danger." The voice boomed with a severity I had never heard it take on before. "Every action you take now is critical, you must do all you can to reach your true end."

"Y-you keep saying that but what can I do?! What should I do to reach my true end?!" I yell into the void, my voice echoing at a painfully loud volume.

"...you have entered your third chapter my dear, be sure to stay safe..."

'no, no! THATS NOT AN ANSWER-'

"Please! Just tell me! Answer me-!"

Then it all went dark.

I awake with a start, my chest heaving and heart racing.

"Ace..." I jerk my head to the left of me, the healing cut leaving a faint whisper of pain that makes me wince a little.

"Are you okay...?" A deep and gravely voice emits from Shu's lips.

'damn, remind me to make him sleepy talk more.'

I nod gently, peeling the sheets from my tacky legs. The room felt colder than ice and yet I was sweating profusely. I swing my legs off the bed and catch Subaru's eyes. He stared at me strangely, a sense of apprehension in his face.

I knew that look.

My heartbeat was so loud it was practically a DJ Snake concert for all the boys to hear. The healing cut that had just recently grown new but thin skin didn't help either.

I was a chocolate fountain under a plastic tarp.

And I had two very hungry 5yo kids left unattended in the room with me.

Thank god Ayato wasn't here right now.

I quickly looked away, walking to and digging through my dresser for a set of clothes to change into. I wasn't about to pull a Yui.

"I'm gonna go take a shower-" before I could fully turn the doorknob, the door swung open in front of me, sending me staggering back a few paces.

"Ah Kitty-kun~ I wanted to ask if you would ride with me to the concert-!" The blonde idol cut himself off as the two other vampires in the room now stood between us.
