Chapter 7: "You Should Rest," says Morgana

Well,

I was not expecting that.

Somehow, the male had agreed and we were now standing in a clothes shop, me watching him pick out clothes.

Now I had been itching to get the boys new clothes ever since I realized all they wore were their school uniforms or pajamas that both consisted of a button up and dress pants. While this fit the uptight Reiji, it looked pretty unusual for the rest, especially Ayato who didn't seem to understand the concept of a tie.

So I guess you could say that making Kanato pick out new, more casual clothes was the first part to my master plan.

He looked about and seemed to drift towards the button up shirts but I skillfully redirected him to the colourfull T-shirts that he seemed to take a liking to right away.

Eventually, after trying some on, he picked out two T-shirts, one with a teddy bear print and another with pink and blue stripes. He also picked out a pair of khakis that were a shade of light brown. He also took a liking to a light blue hoodie shirt that he now had draped over his arms.

After he insisted on paying with a 'I don't need a human to pay for me.' He had changed out of his uniform, now in the new pants and the hoodie T-shirt.

After deciding to call it a day, we headed back to my motorcycle.

He took the helmet with no complaints and just as the sun set we had arrived outside the mansion I called home.

Once we were both off the bike and I had finished packing up, Kanato suddenly pushed me up against the outer wall of the building. "I went with your plans today, reward me." He said softly, eyes drilling into mine.

I gulped softly. I had somehow expected this but I had really hoped he wouldn't do it.

I lifted a hand up and pulled his head closer to mine before planting a kiss on his head.

His face flushes. "Y-you-!?" I gave a small smile. "Thank you for today Kanato, I hope you had fun." I handed him the plastic bag which he took silently before walking straight into the house.

A sigh of relief left my throat.

Once I reached my room, after shutting the door behind me, I flopped on my bed, letting out a tired sigh. As surprisingly pleasant as today was, I couldn't help feeling slightly nervous around the purple haired boy, I felt as though I was constantly walking on eggshells with him.

After shutting my eyes for a bit, I felt the other side of my bed dip down.

Looking up I found a sleeping Shu on my bed. He seemed less peaceful then usual however, as his eyebrows twitched every so often. Knowing the reason why, I pulled the earphone bundle out of my school coat that was hanging on a chair and attempted to untangle it as I walked over, managing to reduce it to only a few knots as I passed it to him.

He reached for the earpieces but grabbed my hand instead, pulling me onto him. "Throwing yourself at me? What a lewd man you are." He whispered and it took every fibre of my being not to roll my eyes right there.

"I'm not a puppy you can hug whenever you feel lonely, now let me go." I sighed, not up for anymore encounters with these mosquitoes. He looked at me strangely but released me.

I got off him quickly and went to the toilet connected to my room to get changed.

After changing, I walked back out only to find that Shu hadn't left. Too tired and reasoning that if Shu wanted to do anything he would have done it already, I decided to go to bed, grabbing a pillow to hug and facing away from the male.

Soon enough I fell asleep.

Groggily, my eyes fluttered open. It was still dark out and the biting chill was more apparent than ever. However, I felt warm as could be.

Finding it strange but pushing the thought aside, I reached for the blanket only to realize I was trapped between Shu's arms.

His face was relaxes, mouth parted as soft breaths left his lips. In the silence I could hear the faint sound of a piano coming from Shu's earpieces. 'Chopin, Nocturne op 9 number 2, my favourite.'

I smiled softly, unable to find any flaw in the peaceful boy's face. He seemed so at peace, so comfortable but I was still cold.

I tried to reach over his arms to get the blanket but he only gripped tighter. Sighing, I decided to do what I do best and run my mouth.

"SHU, GET UP YOU LEGALLY BLONDE WANNABEEEE!!!" I yelled into his ear, pulling down his earbuds.

He looked up at me and glared, eyes fierce. 'Uh oh.'

"I'm cold, I want my blanket, you are heavy." I commented only to be surprised by the duvet flying up over my head and my face being tucked into the crook of his neck. He let out a quiet sigh. "Troublesome human..."

I didn't struggle, I wouldn't stand a chance. I just decided to accept the warmth and go back to bed.

"ke up... Wake up...!"

My eyes shot open and I sat up.

The ground was golden and rippled around me like water. I stepped carefully on the molten gold, more ripples forming around my feet.

"Alright who's there and what drugs did you give me?!" I yelled.

"Haha, you never cease to amaze." The voice echoed again. I spun around but the reverberation made it impossible to pin point the source.

The horizon faded into white in front of me and black behind me, the sky was red, like a sunset.

"You have a pretty mind, its gorgeous." The voice spoke again.

"Thank you Disembodied Voice but you mind telling me where I am?!" I yelled out, hoping for some sort of answer.

"You're in your own brain, don't you recognize your own memories?  " as soon as I heard the last word, glittering images of the past few days swirled around me, each one moving, whispering its own unheard dialogue.

I looked to the abyss behind me to find more memories while the bright light ahead of me obscure all of the pictures ahead of me. "Why am I here and who the heck are you?" I sighed incredulously, trying to touch the pictures.

"That is something you will learn in due time girl, until we meet again."

"Wait-!"

"w-wait-!" The sun had risen and Shu was gone. I sat up.

"I'm not a damn girl..."

'A dream?'
