Once we arrived, I slowly dismounted.

The sky was pitch black now, showing the time of past midnight. I took Subaru's jacket off and straightened it out as he shut down red for the night.

"Here, thanks," I give a smile, hoping to lighten the sour mood that had fallen. He took the jacket back and walked ahead of me towards the house before stopping. "Subaru-?"

"You should start avoiding me," he mumbled.

"What? Why would-"

He grabs my wrist with one hand, placing the other on my waist and shoving me against the outside of the house. "I already told you, you need to be more careful," he scowled, a cruel look on his face.

But the bad emotions behind it weren't directed at me.

"I already told you, I trust you."

I feel his grip on my wrist tighten.

"I'm dangerous."

"I know."

"Then why-"

"Because I trust you."

His eyes were wide, staring at me in disbelief. I gave him a defiant grin. "I mean you're worrying about me right now right? So you must mean well." "Plus," I cock my head to a side. "If I don't have you around, who's gonna let me slather them in paint?" I chuckle.

"I-" I shake my head to silence him. "You need to trust yourself Tsunbaru, you know who you are, stop doubting yourself." He stared at me for a couple seconds before letting me go. He stepped back and turned away from me, sparing me a last glance before heading back to the house with a soft click of his tongue.

"HEY WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN YOU SUBURBAN CAR BRAND?!" I call after him but cross my arms in triumph.

I trailed a distance behind him before finally entering the warmer interior of the house. 'huh, he left the door open for me, how gentlemanly' I chuckle to myself.

"Livestock," I nearly jump out of my skin when I hear Ruki's voice behind me while I was locking up the door. "Jeez, I should really put a bell on you guys..." I sigh, tossing my keys onto the shoe cabinet. He gave me am unamused scowl. "So, uh, what did you need?" I asked, seeing that the male wasn't leaving anytime soon. "Follow me," he beckoned, starting to walk back into the house.

'NAH, NAAAAH, SUS, THATS SUS.'

"Uh Ruki, where do you want to bring me?" I ask skeptically. He turned around, a clearly annoyed look on his face but after realising I wasn't about to follow his suspicious ass, he reluctantly answered me. "Join us for dinner." I blinked.

'oh yeah, the Mukamis do that...!'

"Hmm, let me check my schedule?" I joke, looking at my wrist that didn't even have a watch on it. I saw his eye twitch in annoyance. Immediately I backed off with the jokes. "Ahahaha... I'm joking...joking..." I chuckled sheepishly, settling on silently following the boy into the dining room.

"Oi! Kou! Give Azusa the last piece!" I could already hear Yuma yell from outside the room.

Once I stepped through the doorway, I found a rather amusing scene before me. Yuma had his foot on a chair, waving a half eaten chicken drumsticks at Kou who was in the opposite corner of the room, his hands on a plate of one last pristine chicken wing. Azusa appeared oblivious to the situation, calmly eating spoonfulls of rice.

Then they all slowly noticed our presence by the doorway.

"Kitty-kun~! Joining us~?" Kou asked happily, unaware of the approaching Yuma.

'lets join in the fun, why not?'

"Oh yeah, Kou! I forgot to congratulate you on a job well done!" I smiled, hoping he wouldn't realise what I was doing. "Ahh~ a compliment from Kitty-kun~? I must be lucky today~" he gave me a playful wink.

'well not quite...'

His eyes widened but before he could do anything, Yuma had swiped the last wing from Kou's plate, placing it gently in Azusa's bowl.

"But I had a tiring concert today!!! Mouu~!" Kou sulked, crossing his arms and pouting. He sent me a playful glare. "How could you treat me like this Kitty-kun~?" He sobbed dramatically. I shrugged, sticking my tongue out defiantly as I walked over to Yuma.

"Thanks for this, by the way," I slipped the bomber jacket off and folded it nicely as I walked up to return the jacket. "Ooh~? Yuma let Kitty-kun borrow his jacket~?" Kou's eyes glanced over us suspiciously.

I chuckled. "Yeah, my old one got too worn out so I borrowed Yuma's." Kou's eye flashed red for a split second but after he just looked away, seemingly unbothered.

"W-well, it's nice to see y-you..." I heard Azusa's voice whisper from beside Yuma. "It's nice to see you too, Azusa." Dang the boy was adorable. I glanced down at his rice bowl. "Oh right!" I exclaimed, jogging into the kitchen that was connected to the dining room. I looked through some of the cabinets but still couldn't find where I'd put that blasted bottle.

"It's rude to leave the table without permission," the grey haired boy uttered from behind me. I flinched like a little boy who's mom caught his hand digging in the cookie jar. "Ah, yeah sorry, lemme just AHAH!" I grabbed the small red bottle and zoomed back to the dining room.

"Here Azusa! I remembered buying this a while back but I never got to give it to you," I grinned, handing him the red shaker bottle. "Shichimi Togarashi..." He read the label out silently before turning to face me, an adorable smile on his face. "T-thank you Ace..."

'*fanboy noises intensify*'

The boy turned back to his food with a renewed vigour and popped the bottle open, holding it over his rice and watching the chilli flakes fall. I watched in increasing amazement as the pile of chilli flakes slowly built up into a mountain on his rice.

I slowly backed away, whispering to Yuma. "That...can't be healthy..." He looked down at me blankly. "Ah..." I said, finally realising as I turned back to the boy who was now happily shoveling food into his mouth.

"Vampires..."
