Cricket's POV:
"BLUE! BLUE OH NO WE'RE GONNA CRASH INTO A SUPER TINY PLANET WHAT DO WE DO?" Cricket screeched.
"Um... you're the smart know-it-all. What do we do?" Blue said.
"Hey, do you ever wonder what's on that planet? OOH! READING MONKEYS!!!" Cricket said.
"Huh. Maybe. Then we could EAT THEM ALL." Sundew said.
Swordtail and Blue both turned a slight shade of green. Cricket frowned at Sundew for a moment, but she couldn't contain her excitement. A smile appeared again and she began jumping up and down, and up and down, and up and down . . .
"Sundew. Gross. Why would we DO THAT? We could study them instead!!!" Cricket said, then started jumping up and down nonstop.
"Alright, alright." Sundew grumbled. "But you do realize that they might die in the crash, right?"
Cricket's eyes widened. "OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO WHAT IF THEY DIE BLUE WHAT IF THEY DIEEEEEE wait what if we die?"
"If we die?" Swordtail made a shockingly fast transition from being green in the face to being white in the face. Cricket would have to ask him how he did that soon.
"Sure we can." Sundew said.
"WHAT?" Swordtail cried.
Sundew shook her head. "You'll be no great loss to the world."
Cricket smiled despite herself.
Swordtail ignored her and hid behind Sundew.
"Hey, you're bigger than me. There's no way I'll be able to shield you." Sundew told him. "And no way that I would, so MOVE, SilkWIng!" she barked.
Cricket glanced back at the small planet. "What are we supposed to do?" she asked again.
Sundew groaned. "Why must I deal with two very annoying dragons?" She glanced around. "Scratch that. Why must I deal with four very annoying dragons?" she asked with a pointed look a Bumblebee and Blue.
Cricket ignored her, and so did Blue. Bumblebee attempted to beg Sundew for food, and Swordtail protested again, while trying to hide behind the LeafWing. Sundew looked like she was going to explode from frustration.
"It's so... different from our planet, didn't you notice?" Cricket asked. "So much more... blue."
Blue grinned. "Ah, so they're all like me?"
"No, maybe not," Cricket said. "But that would be nice."
There was a moment of silence (not including Sundew and Swordtail's argument, of course). Then Blue frowned. "They're going to die?" he asked again.
"Probably—GO AWAY!" Sundew shouted.
"SNUDOO!" Bumblebee cried.
"Aww, I really hope not," said Cricket. "I want to see if they're the same as our reading monkeys! And if they can read too! And if we can TALK to them! Ooh, do you think they can talk? Those squeaks really sounded like talking to me! Oh! What if they can make books! Didn't they here! What if they have more things in that planet? Or what if—"
"What if it's an empty planet, so you would stop CHATTERING?" Sundew groused.
Cricket clapped a talon over her mouth. "Oops!"
Blue still looked pained for the maybe-reading monkeys that lived in the tiny planet. "But still. Our planet is crashing into another planet. It's still a big problem . . ." He wrung his talons together, wings drooping.
The flapping of wings startled them all out of a somewhat awkward silence. "We'll find a way!" a voice cried enthusiastically.
