Nervous Dream

Nineteen

"Her what ?" Sehun mouths in the van as they were going out to a radio show.

"You didn't know ?" LuHan asks.

"Hyung, do you even know on a scale of ten, how stupid you are ?"

"Huh ?"

"Infinite" He says before shoving the cup into the garbage bag."If you do not remember anything how do you possibly know your freaking birthday ? Think about it, today is the day she left the planet. They probably set her birthday on the day she was found or something"

"ah" Luhan exclaims and Sehun mentally face palms.

"By the way ...." Luhan disturbs Sehun again. In return Sehun carefully takes a silver chain from his bag. Attached to it was a stoned pendant shaped of a crescent moon.

"This" Sehun exclaims. 

"Give her this" Sehun stares at the pendant for a while. She had always been the most important person to him and now to see he was wishing her on the wrong birthday and he was not able to give her a tight hug wishing her had not made him feel very good.

"Make her happy, Hyung." Sehun looks up at LuHan. 

"I know you don't love her, but at least don't hurt her. For now" He says as a single tear jumps out from his eye. Luhan feels the need to say he is different and the feelings were different, but as the coward he was he finds himself at a loss of words.

"Luhan" She laughs as LuHan brings her out to the rooftop.

"It was the rooftop? I believe you are kidding? Aren't you scared of heights?" She questions.

"Well I am, but you do understand EXO's Luhan can't simply walk out this building hand in hand with a rookie and have dinner with her in an ordinary restaurant, don't you?" He winks at her as he holds her hand guiding her.

"Woh! You didn't cook these did you ?" She asks surprised.

"Surprised ?" His smile spreads wider.

"Hm.. Almost, but not fully" She teases as she grabs the chair and takes the seat across him.

"First things first" He pulls out a little box from his pocket, wrapped with a cute pink paper and a white lace bow on it.

"Happy Birthday" He wishes. His face straight.

Jaehee smiles to the present. Being the person who rarely had friends and all, this was the first-ever present she had got from someone outside the family. Considering Myungsoo was family that was. 

She does not take a moment to think about it and hurries to open the present. Inside she finds a chain. Jaehee takes it carefully to her hand as she stares at the sculptured moon.

"This" She whispers. She felt like someone was holding her from afar. A lot of smiles. A lot of tears. A lot of memories. And a lot of love. All of them , sculptured in that one crescent moon, she found.

"Thank you" She raises her eyes to see him. "I really love it"

After a long while of staring at each other Luhan decides to break the ice.

"Let's eat, shall we ?" He asks.

"Oh, Yeah"

She takes a hold of the chopsticks as she starts to eat. Luhan watches her as she moves her hand and keeps eating. Her  sparkling eyes and long hair spreading around making her look even more beautiful.

"I'm sorry" He says.

"Hm ?" She stares at him filling her mouth with a huge size boiled egg.

"Nothing." He rests his chin on his palm and keeps watching her as she eats.

"Woah ! I can just throw myself on the bed and sleep for a week now. Thanks for the meal." She states with a bright smile plastered on her face. Luhan guides her to the fence as they both look down at the road.

"This is amazing." Her eyes grow even sparkler as she stares down at the scene.

"We have only two days left for the concert. It's gonna be your first performance. Nervous ?" He asks.

"Anee, you are with me. I don't feel nervous. As long as you are there, I'm ready for any kind of stage." She smiles light as she sets her eyes glued to his and his eyes to hers.

"Do I really love you, Lee Jaehee ?" Luhan mentally asks himself. "Or, am I just feeling guilty?"
