Thirty Five

"I have a what ?" Jaehee questions. 

Baekhyun's heart melts as to how she hasn't changed anything about herself. She was always this lovely, understanding princess who could bare anything with her calm attitude.

It was Luhan who tested her patience and had her escaping the planet at the end.

"If you can concentrate hard on it, you will be able to do it your highness. Just this once please help us. We only need to figure out the reason why Eunhwa has been doing all these." Chanyeol adds.

"All what ..?" She asks curiously. The pair exchange glances before Chanyeol speaks up saying 

"It is about Baekhyun's girlfriend."

He makes a start and puts on a pile of lies to cover for Baekhyun.

"Don't I have to talk to LuHan ?" She asks, starting to come to the light that he shouldn't.

"Please, your highness. I beg you , he should never know about this." Baekhyun kneels down in front of her and bowes as he states.

"But why ... he wouldn't.."

"Please, your highness." Chanyeol repeats as he kneels down beside Baekhyun as well.

"Okay. What do I do ?"

"Focus" Kris says as Jaehee's thoughts still wonder around the time from her dream where one guy had saved her from the middle of a huge fire.

"Those eyes" 

She thinks as she narrows her eyes and try to bring herself to that date to think about blue eyes. Though he had black hair Jaehee was definitely sure it was non other than the guy from her dream carrying her over the clouds after he had saved her from the biggest fire she had seen.

"Are you not the one who saved me from the fire ?"

Kris hears her voice as he goes through the pile of pictures to come up with a rookie's picture in his hand. He pauses.

"You remember"

"Not entirely, but ...... was it ..... you ?" 

Kris turns to face her.

"It was eight years ago, you were only thirteen years old." He explains avoiding her eyes, pretending to go through the pile of pictures.

"Her majesty the king, had ordered me to save you. The entire state was destroyed by that dragon let loose in a day. Only some survived it, including you"

"How about my family ? Did I have any brothers? Sisters ? Parents ? Friends ?" 

Kris wants to kneel down in front of this girl, begging for forgiveness for saving her from the fire to bring her to a hell filled with nothing but pain.

"Suho and Xiumin and the entire Army worked on it. I was only on one mission to save you. And I did not fail."


"You had an order to save me ? ..... me ?"

"They said you were destined to be... the queen. " Kris gulps attempting to gulp away the regrets. He feels how confused and startled Jaehee is to learn bit by bit of the truth of her past and decides he does not want to answer any more questions from her.

"And this ..." He stops Jaehee when she opens her mouth for another question.

"This what ?" She asks instead.

"What I planned was we should try someone's dreams first before actually attempting to do Euny." He explains.

"I was the queen ?" She asks instead of actually listening to what he was relaying.

"You just became the crown princess , Rian" He explains avoiding her eyes.

"And you were......." one moment to think he takes. 

"...abducted to here before you were crowned the queen"

"Crown princess" Kris hears she whispers to herself.

"So LuHan is ...." Her thoughts wander around the dream of a marriage she had.

"That was a royal wedding"

"You seem pretty distracted. How about we meet at 3 in the evening, at our training room ?" Kris suggests.

"No more questions" He mentally begs.

"Hm, Okay" Jaehee says , her eyebrows still creasing to the deep thinking. Kris walks away without another moment.
