"Man, whoever invented the mall was a genius."

"Sure."

"But really, genius," Stef's eyes go big with wonder.

I nod my head, still not very interested in Stef's opinion about malls.

Let's be real, no one wants to talk about malls just casually.

"A whole ass building just for shopping," Stef gladly informs me on the purpose of malls.

"Tell that to your boyfriend that's just about sucking your tit," I remark, pointing to Zach who is leaning on Stef's shoulder.

"She's unbearable," Stef says under her breath, yet loud enough for me to hear her.

I roll my eyes and continue drinking my coffee. Currently I'm just sitting in the middle of the busy mall, people watching the shoppers as if they were the next big boy band of the century. God, how I miss One Direction. Anyway, Edward is to join us soon so we can actually shop at the mall. Like one does when one is at the mall. Shop till they drop.

My people watching marathon was going so well until I spot a specifically unpleasant person. Well, I shouldn't say that, still trying to maintain that socially acceptable presence. I stare at her intensely wondering what could possibly bring her to the mall, the old mall, the mall that doesn't have the Sephora or the Forever 21. "You might what to smile so people don't think you're going to shoot up the school," Zach opens his eyes to stare at me, still laying on Stef's shoulder.

"Fuck you," I sneer, applying a very false smile on my face.

"She's probably here to buy a dress for the dance that's next month," Stef says, turning back around after taking a good look at the person I was starring daggers at.

"She hasn't done anything to me, I shouldn't be rude to her, right?" I question, looking back and forth between the couple in front of me.

"Right, socially acceptable presence, remember that," someone says from behind me.

I turn around and genuinely smile at the person standing behind me. "Edward, so glad you could join us... 20 minutes later."

"Haha, very funny Lu."

"I know," I smirk up at him.

The three of us stand up and start walking with Edward towards the first store at hand.

"You know they say that this is the essence of Californian fashion," Edward spills his fact of the day.

"How could Urban Outfitters," Stef points towards the sign above the entrance, "know anything about fashion?"

"Tight shorts and small shirts, what more could you need out of women?" I reply.

I see Zach roll his eyes and chuckle at my comment, "Funny."

"That's been established, you'd know if you weren't sleeping."

"You've been burned!" Edward laughs, wrapping his arm around my shoulders to make the point that he's on my side even more obvious.

After shopping for about 2 hours in Urban Outfitters we finally leave the store, set on going somewhere less, how should I put it, try hard. "You complain about Urban Outfitters, yet you spent the most out of all of us," Edward laughs beside me.

"You guys kept shoving stuff in my hands, how could I refuse?" I defend myself.

"Keep telling yourself that, maybe it'll come true one day."

"We're going in there!" Zach exclaims, pulling Stef towards a store called Over Sweater.

Zach? Excited about shopping? I must be in an alternate universe. Nonetheless, I laugh it off and follow the couple into the store. Walking in I realize why Zach was so excited. It's a store dedicated to selling comfy looking sweaters.
