"Lucy, you're late."
"Don't you think I know that?"
"You're in no position to give me sass."
I rolled my eyes and trudged to my seat.
"Where do you think you're going?" My chemistry teacher asked.
"To my seat," I told her, like it wasn't obvious already.
What stick is up her ass today. Today is really not the day to cross me.
"You're going to the office, I saw that eye roll."
I resisted another eye roll and walked out the classroom. Everyone's eyes were on me and a couple quiet snickers could be heard around the room.
I walked to the office. Mad at myself for being so dumb but mainly mad at my teacher for being such a bitch. She's that one teacher you hate already and everything she does makes you want to punch her a little more everyday. Well, now I want to give her a black eye on both eyes.
"Lucy Stone, what are you doing here?" The receptionist asked me when I walked in.
"I did a bad thing."
The receptionist's eyes went wide, "You're lying."
"Nope, I was late."
I shrugged my shoulders and walked over to the chairs that were meant for those that needed a strict talking to. I'm a bad kid now, deal with it.
"No way."
I turned my head to see that Ryan was beside me.
I smiled at him, "Ryan!"
"Lucy!" He mimicked me.
"What alternate dimension did I step into?"
"It's been a rough day."
He laughed, "That much I can decipher."
"Lucy Stone, come on in," The counselor called me in.
"What can I do for you?" She asked once we were settled on opposite sides of her desk.
"Actually, what can you do for me?"
Her eyebrows raised and she let me elaborate.
"I need a talking to," I looked down, "I've been a bad kid."
"Oh," Her surprise is noticeable.
"Okay, so, give me a lecture."
"You're a good student, Lucy, just be better?" She sort of gave me a speech.
Wow, I'm so motivated.
"Alright, well, glad we talked," I said as I stood up from my chair.
I turned around before I left her office, "Why's Ryan here?"
"I'm not supposed to say."
"Weed?" I smiled.
"I can neither confirm nor deny."
It's definitely weed.
"Yo, Lucy," Ryan stoped me before I left.
"You have," He pointed to my pants, "Blood."
My face dropped. I ran out of the office and to the nearest bathroom. Thankfully, it was still class time and no one was in the halls. I ran into the nearest stall and plopped onto the toilet.
Of course, today of all days, my period decides to strike. It couldn't have waited one more day? That could've saved some lives. My life.
I patted my pants, careful to avoid the stain, then looked around the stall. I forgot my backpack. I forgot to grab a tampon. God, if you wanted me to suffer so bad, you could've just sent me to hell.
